The Pats missed a ton of chances in that first half. Now KC will make them pay for it in the second half. The Pats had a chance to be up 16-6. They needed to be if they wanted to a shot to win. Now Mahomes and KC will explode and pull away. You know it's going to happen. I know it's going to happen. BB knows it's going to happen. This game will end with KC winning by 2-3 scores because the Pats failed to capitalize when they had the chance.

The inconsistency in the play calling, running three and spending timeouts to avoid a turnover, and then to run those last two plays and turn it over on time, is how you lose games. The first plan was annoyingly conservative, but it was a plan with no downside. They changed plans with no timeouts left, introducing a higher chance of the downside but with a lower chance of an upside. There is a saying in chess, "It is better to have a bad plan, then to change plans halfway through."
