OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Exactly. The same people who will try to rub the second half in peoples faces, act like the first half never happened. Thats why they can't be taken seriously.
The game is 60 minutes. Super Bowl 51

This thread makes me wonder how in the world many posters didn't learn more about football after watching Brady for all these years.

1st half he came out in the first drive and threw a few ropes. The first throw to Evans for 30 between 3 DBs was a rope. Lead them to a TD on the opening drive.

Then they went run heavy. They fell behind but stuck to the game plan. The pick 6 and the blitz beats by Herbert put them back much further than they expected, so they had to start airing it out.

The idiot Chargers continued to play the run as Brady went run-fake after run-fake and found wide open WRs.

Other than the 1st pass to Evans, the back shoulder pass to Evans, the beautiful throw to OJ for the TD, and the bomb to miller, Brady was basically just putting it up there for his WRs. And now he has WRs that can actually track a ball and haul it down, as opposed to the past.

If this teams gets a health Godwin, healthy Evans, healthy OJ, I wouldn't want to face them. They have everything Brady could have ever wanted.

And now Leftwich is giving Brady the deference that Manning got after the first few games of his Denver career.

I thought old men get tired as the game and season progresses, but he got better as the game went on, what’s that, “a reverse cliff”. It’s ridiculous to bash this guy. He never asked for $40mill a year. Just playing where he’s wanted.

People are pretty dug in on their positions, their need to be right.
It's a lot more fun to watch the game with an open mind.

Such is true. However, much like that game both halves are mutually exclusive. You can rightfully say he was awful and great at the same time. Thats what a lot of QBs are. Nothing wrong with admitting that.

Brady’s stat line for the ENTIRE game

30/46, 65%, 369 yards, 8.0 average, 5TD’s,1INT, 117 passer rating

And the win.

Lol at this “but the first half” nonsense. Those are better numbers than nearly all his legendary SB games. That’s a phenomenal game by any standard

This is what Joker was talking about. I can admit he had a great second half. You can't admit he had a crappy first half. There is the difference.

Tompa averaging 3 yds per pass attempt.
Yikes
His face stubble is gray but hair is L’Oréal #7 medium brown
Fountain of youth in a bottle
Fraud
You’re a clown

You sound identical to all the r*tarded Jets fans over the years when Brady was the Patriots' QB aka the only reason you weren't miserable every Sunday. Many such cases.

From my eyes Brady has looked physically fine and his touch has been excellent. Still does not seem to be completely in synch with his receivers which is to be expected this early in the year and with the funky off season. Tampa needs to clean up their penalties and dropped passes if they expect to be a serious contender.

brady will be great. his challenge is going to be having these great players around him playing at his level of competitiveness because thats what will matter in the bigger games . howard goodwin these guys may be great but dont know how thy will handle the pressure when you "gotta have it" . that probably was his challenge too in the later yrs with the younger and newer cast around could never match his level except edelman and gronk and white and he kept going only to them. With age he doesnt have patience for people who need time to catch up to his level.

Stop being obtuse. By this logic you are trying to claim that Patrick Mahomes should be considered just as "awful" - as he is considered "great" - due to the 1st half of his performance in the playoffs for his Super Bowl run.

Brady was significantly more "great" in the 2nd half, than has was "bad" in the 1st half. So, don't even attempt to bring the "good/bad," "black/white" "heads/tails," logic to this discussion. His stats are fantastic. By your logic, they should be completely average; since the one half was "bad" & the other was "good."
