Gaffney did better after NEP. Lafell did about the same after NEP. Branch did a little less after the NEP. It aint much but there are a couple.

Also just FYI Vereen had a career year in rec yards after he left the NEP and Woodhead had much better receiving stats for a couple of years after he left here.

I give you Gaffney. I just checked. He was better with 16 more receptions. But there's also a bit of a difference in that he was the 2nd best receiver on Denver. In New England he was even behind Stallworth, our 4th best WR. But your point about him not falling off is right.

But if I agree on Gaffney, I can't agree on Lafell for the same reason, he had 10 fewer receptions after he left New England. Though he was the 2nd best receiver on that team again.

My main point was, the WR rookies/busts during Brady's time as a Patriot never went on to do anything elsewhere.

So are you saying tennis elbow isn't a repetitive motion injury? Or are you arguing that with my point that last both last year and the year before, Brady was somewhat hindered by injuries at the end of the season. Injuries that limited him in practice and if they occurred again this year would probably limit, at least to some extent, his ability to get much better as the season wears on?

Brady had tennis elbow one year. These are not the same things.

I had carpal tunnel 15 years ago. It has never returned. That was a repetitive motion injury but NOT a repetitive injury.

Got it, you are simply saying that while tennis elbow is a repetitive motion injury, just because you had it once and then you got better, you might not get it again. Gotcha, no need to be a complete ass. Of course it also doesn't mean you will never get it again either. I don't believe Brady had surgery to correct it, so hopefully for you Tampa guys, it won't come back.

That's a pretty disingenuous argument. There is a forum for non-Patriots discussion (the NFL forum). Presumably the dead aren't playing for other teams, so shuffling that discussion somewhere else doesn't apply.

The fact is, @PatsBoy12 create a popular thread and many of us will enjoy it, most likely for 2020 and 2021. I think you might want to get used to that.

Yes a pretty low bar, I agree. However, even you must agree, this thread is bound to create a lot of friction on this board. A lot of patriots fans are upset that Tom left, and that Gronk came out of retirement to play for the bucs, when his presence last year might well have been the difference between a 1st round loss and a deep playoff run. It started out as a discussion about that, and now it has really morphed into a discussion about the bucs as a team, which there is a place created specifically on this board for. When the people who are upset with Tom and Gronk see this thread every time they look at the "patriots board" they are annoyed even more that Brady left and it creates friction. There is no real reason this can't be moved to the place specifically designed for it, other than a few of you either don't want to have it moved, or enjoy rubbing the other sides noses in the fact that he is playing on another team now.

I am pretty sure the same posters that have issues would be posting over there as well if it was on the sub-forum. It is not the location of this thread if you really think about it but the topic IMO and the fact that it is always at the top of the threads most days because many posters here are still interested in following the GOAT.

The counter point is if you want to keep your Tom Brady love fest on the main page then stop being whiny little *****es when people come on here complaining about Tom Brady. Some of you obviously can't handle that, which is why it should be moved. If you can put on your big boy pants and accept that many fans were disappointed with the way that Tom behaved last season, and the way he left and have moved on, and don't really want to be reminded of him on a daily basis. Many of those same people are going to come back on this thread and rub your noses in it if he fails, or even if he succeeds and the Bucs fail. Tom was the greatest qb i have ever watched. Other than the births of all my children and the finalization of all my divorces, the first superbowl win was probably the most awesome time ever. However, he decided to move on. Now we have a thread on the main page that some people love and some people hate and there is no common ground, so yes it is going to continuously be a gloating fest from one side or the other.
