A**hole after the game should have said what BB (or any other sensible coach) would say: "I need to look at the game film". That he immediately and unusually went to criticizing Brady in public suggests there's some tension between them.

Brady probably made Arians promise he wouldn't rip into him in film study like that meaning Bill

Jesus, I hate Arians. Just why? Why??

I honestly believe he is just being completely open and forthcoming with the media (which is an incredibly foreign concept for us Patriots fans from a Head Coach).

Last night, watching the game from the sidelines, he thought Brady screwed up. Today, after seeing the game film and formation, he changed it to Evans screwing up.

Yeah well thats why you don't say bleep. Just shut your mouth and talk about it in private.

I agree, but that doesn’t make it a good approach.

oh I agree 100%. He is creating a needless distraction by making statements like that. There's a reason Belichick looks at and treats the media like ****roaches; they are a destructive force for a team.

What did you think was going to happen with this thread hosted on a Pats board? I'm sure there will be rampant triumphalism if the Bucs end up doing well and the Pats do poorly.
We have a Jets thread all year round that stays on page one. This isn't a Jets board. They're not even a relevant team at least Tampa has two of the greatest Patriots to ever play on their roster.

One thing I'll definitely say is I may have underrated how bad Arians is. I never thought he was anything special but I viewed him as decently competent. He may still be. But the lack of discipline and willingness to throw players under the bus to the media is eye opening as someone who didn't really pay attention to him. I don't know how that will fly with Tom. For anything snarky Bill may have said I don't recall him talking about Tom ****ing something up on the field specifically. It was usually just a criticism of everyone, coaches and players.

BB never said this about any player i can remember. Definitely a different style of coaching. So arians blames himself for anything ? liek the penalties and not being ready or is it all on the playerS?

and he expects Brady to play with a little more grit ...yeah that QB has never had enough of it right ...?

He put up 3 more points than Cam Newton :ninja:

Including putting the Pats up by 4 points with less than 4 min left in the game. Then the Boogeymen let Fitzpatrick drive down the field for a game winning TD.

7 points came because the lolphins ignored a LB playing FB going out for a pass.

Offense should have had at least 10 more points yesterday if Harry doesn't fumble and Folk made a makeable 45 yard FG (conditions were perfect). Which would have made it 31

But I like how you ignored the tiny little fact that Brady spotted them 7 points when he threw a pick-6 in that game last year. Take the pick-6 away and that drive at the end is padding fantasy stats for the lolphins

maybe it was me, but I thought brady took a lot of hits yesterday. I know that is Arians style as Big Ben/palmer/Winston took a lot of hits...but not sure you want that from your 43 year old QB

Arians said you don’t throw an out route low and inside. I bet Brady didn’t know that.

Very odd things to claim Brady needs to work on. "Knock the rust off" "Familiarize himself with the playbook" and other cliches I could see after that performance but saying he wasn't gritty or determined enough just strikes me as very weird.

I thought I'd be compelled to watch the game after being a fan of Brady's for 20 years, but turned it off at half time and didn't care to finish. I thought I'd care more. I'll try again next week.

Yeah, well thats Arians and this isn't the first time Brady has been called out. Remember that whole "Our offense sucked" comment after one of the scrimmages? Nah, much like almost every single other Pat player that shot their way out of town, years later will say..gee I wish I had approached that better. Happens to almost all of them.

It will happen to Tom and Gronk. No doubt in my mind.

He should have retired after the 2018 season and gone on top with a ring. But instead he wants to prove that his TB12 stuff works and play until 45. That and Gisele wants to stick it to Belichick by proving Brady isn't Johnny Foxboro in a different organization...
Says the guy with TommyBrady12 as his user name and the TB12 emblem as his avatar?

Love how all the detractors are taking a victory lap after one game . . . the first game of the season no less. No real off season, no preseason and first live action in forever. New team, new coach, new receivers, new system . . . but yeah, he's not allowed any time to become accustomed. Do you all think before you post?
Same TB12, only older. "Weaponz" was supposed to change things. Football was supposed fun again, no more of that heavy discipline stuff slowing us down. End result is TB12 missing a bunch of throws, his new weaponz running poor routes, TB12 fixating on favorites and icing out others who are open and of course the general lack of discipline all Arians teams have.

How does time fix all this, especially with Arians throwing TB12 and others under the bus and Gronk having lost his breakaway speed?

It's not a victory lap. I was hoping to see TB12 enjoying himself playing good football and adapting to new circumstances, but he looks like the same grumpy and under-productive guy we saw last year.

Why even bother playing the rest of the games then. I guess the SB was played yesterday.
