For the "Brady made Belichick" crowd

This loss definitely was NOT all on Brady. I even told my mother that this is the result of a downgrade in coaching. Brady can still play fine enough to squeak out a win, but worse coaching means worse results from other players too. I think Brady might soon realize this. I'm not saying Belichick made Brady. I'm just saying Belichick made other players in NE better in their roles than Arians can. Brady will rebound. They aren't going to go 5-11. However, if this average-below average play continues by Brady and company, Brady might start missing New England.

The Bucs primary reason for the loss was preparation/coaching. Giving up that onside kick was unforgivable.Payton spotted something early and took advantage of it. The Bucs O line was also lost...ton of missed assignments

Exactly. No need to dump on either. The BB and TB marriage was the greatest HC QB combo this league has ever seen. Going to nine super bowls and winning six in twenty years is just an insane amount of success. It's truly a game of inches in which one decision or one clutch pass pass made all the difference. Both TB and BB are equally responsible for all of the success although during some games it may have been more one than the other.

TB ending up in Tampa Bay is no different than two good married people getting divorced. Blaming either of them is just ridiculous. I hope both of them win one more ring because although their legacies of being GOATS are tied together I'd like to see them show the world what I already know. They are both the greatest and I benefited as a fan watching them do their job.

It is unfortunate that this can't be debated in a calmer and more logical manner but what is being debated is in terms of football.............is superior organization/leadership the primary driver of success.

The more complex the task, the more important the roll of leadership. Do you think TB just received a lesson this afternoon in the concept of how "the other 31/32's live"?

The loss was a combination of

-the Saints being an overall better team

-the Bucs being undisciplined

-Brady and the receivers having growing pains

-some very uninspired play calling on Tampa’s behalf

The play calling by Arians was terrible!

Brady on pace for 32 interceptions this year. Never thought Brady would make Winston’s 30 interceptions look good!

I don't think anyone ever said TB12 was the primary reason for losses here. He simply wasn't the primary reason for the wins. When you pay big bucks for a QB/Receiver tandem and nothing happens when they are on the field, that's disappointing. We were disappointed last year (at least) and TB will be disappointed this year. At least. When the QB throws two interceptions including a pick six, he owns the loss.

As to whether the play calling was suspect, that's just the GOAT being less great without the greatest coach of all time. Discussion of that is the point of this and many other threads. If TB12 leads TB to a championship, things will quiet down. If he continues to be the QB we saw today, then you will have to get used to the laughter. BTW, the other traitor had two receptions for eleven yards in three targets. Maybe he needs some coaching...

I wouldn't call either Brady or Gronk traitors. It was a mutual parting of the ways.

How many penalties have BB's team incurred over the last two decades, how many did Tampa have today... or last year for that matter?

TEAM matters more than any individual player or person.

Yet his own coach pointed out both INTs were Tom's fault, not the receivers.

Tom's post-game interview showed a guy not having fun playing football any more.

The dynamics of the relationship are going to be interesting.

For instance, happens when the coaching staff stops calling pass plays for Gronk?

On the positive side, Tom did have at least one sharp drive in the 2nd half, and he found his short white WR binky in Scott Miller.

That would be fine..... if Brady’s interceptions were the only issues in a close game. They weren’t. There were 100 yards of penalties, blown assignments, a missed field goal, a botched punt recovery, miscommunication between receivers, bad run play calling that wasn’t working. The issues were everywhere. Brady showed some good stuff and bad stuff. It’s early

Some of y’all that a quick to celebrate will be disappointed in January.

Whatit looked like today is stamps defense is legit and they will be elite. Take away the pick 6 and the bad PI on the 3rd and long setting up NO at Tampa’s 5yd line than NO scores 17 points. 17 points to an elite offense with the best WR and a top 5 RB. Held the running game to 77 yds and Thomas to 17 yards, you’re looking at a top 5 defense right there. They finished strong last year and just proved that it wasn’t a fluke and they’ll get better as the secondary gets more seasoned.

The offense didn’t look the good but that’s not a problem. Jones actually looked good running the ball especially when you consider that NO was top notch vs the run last year. It looks like Howard will be very good with Brady which is big and Godwin and Brady looked fine. Evans has a bad game but he was also hurt he can’t stop routes thinking Brady won’t go to him the they’ll figure it out. What should be scary to team is the fact that Miller looked very good with Brady I’m the slot

tall can do your little laugh later but Tampa will be fine

After a loss, I guess it isn’t so bad having your grumpy coach holding everyone accountable “we need to coach better and play better“. Cheerleader coach is great when you are winning.

Saints is a damn good team guys.... Even if Brady did sucked, its too early

The Bucs play calling was weird.

They ran the ball a lot during the game or so it seemed. I was expecting a lot of passing since Tampa is loaded. A pass to get ahead and run to win approach like in NE. Gronk was basically phased out of the offense in this game.

Arians is billed as a Norman Einstein tho.

To all the get the Pats champagne ready and Brady is washed up after 1 game crowd.

And of course the same would be true if the results were reversed. Right?
