Sorry if this has already been posted.

Pretty decent read...

Tom Brady Bucs Camp, an inside look at QB - Peter King, NBC Sports

Brady and Howard with good chemistry. Two things about that:

1. More salt on the wounds for trading for Sanu last year instead of Howard.

2. I think Tampa is going to regret trading for Gronk, and I don’t really understand that move. $10M cap hit for a guy who very much looked done in 2018 when they already have two good tight ends.

I had it in the training camp thread. It's a good read, though not as in depth as I'd hoped.

I think everyone here wanted Howard and no one even gave a seconds thought about sanu until the deal was made... but the bucs wouldn't move Howard. Kinda makes you wonder if they knew then that brady might be in play for 2020... doubtful, but it makes you think...

and i really think brady told tampa to sign gronk if they wanted him to sign...

Very polite - "not as in depth as I'd hoped".

Howard has been in the league for 3 years and this is the first year anyone told him not to look back when selling a seam route? And Brady is so amazing he picked that up and is elevating Howard? If that is all it took to transform Howard ("keep those shoulders square"), I do not know what to say about the Bucs' coaching staff. Peter King is famous for this type of ball washing poppycock.

I agree, not as in depth as I'd hoped.

Not from the King article, but definitely an interesting quote from Mike Evans:

“He’s the GOAT, on and off the field. It’s crazy. He’s a superstar — the most accomplished player in our game in history, and he’s just like everybody else,” Evans said, via ESPN. “He just works extremely hard, he’s always taking care of his body. He loves his family. He loves family time. He’s just cool. He’s a real down-to-earth guy. He’s already up there as one of my favorite teammates, and we’ve only had a few practices together. So that says a lot. I’m learning a lot from him and hopefully we can tear it up this year.”

A new generation of man-crushes begins.... :D

Well, that team has plenty of question marks, as do most teams. But King was too focused on little Brady things to really give us a full overview, which would have been much more interesting, IMO. I'd like to have seen a bit more focus on the 3 main areas of concern (OL, RB, DBs), particularly because the first two could lead to problems for Brady.

And I understand that some of that was probably due to limitations put on King by the Bucs, as that seems to be happening around the league right now. It was just personal disappointment. It's not as if we haven't dealt with that type of limited journalism in New England for a while, after all, but I was hoping for more.

I expect it'll come with in training camp reports as teams move forward.

Don Banks would have written that article...

Peter King? Maybe... on a good day... a decade ago... he's been mailing it in for a long time now ...

Feck Peter Queen...haven't read his fishwrap-worthy shyte since 2007...don't drink coffee or snobby beers either...

The Pats needed a TE and WR last season.

Sanu started out good and still might pan out.

sure, needed depth at both positions... no one said otherwise... but paying a second for mohammed sanu? that was a wtf move on all accounts...

as for starting out good... i guess, if one decent game then getting injured = starting out good so be it...

I hope he stays healthy and does well this season

Screw depth.

Sanu was more than depth. The Pats had nothing beyond Edelman.

Harry flamed out.
Gordon drugged out.
AB trashed Kraft
Dorsett never worked out.

Brady had White and Edelman.

Gronk played around all season that he might come back to the Pats.

"screw depth" ? wtf? not sure who pissed in your cheerios this am, but chill

depth is one of the most important aspects of BB's roster building philosophy... its the reason we gave up a second round pick for him. Last years returns showed we over payed for him.

as i amended in the last post, I hope he stays healthy and does well.

He didn't even really have Edelman at 100%. IMHO, by the end of the year (which means I am factoring in the Edelman injury and AB/Gordon being long gone), 2019 was the worst group of receivers Brady had in his entire career. Even worse than 2006.
