Someone had to say it #theolddays

Not looking so good, I’ll admit that. I don’t believe there will even be a season

It's official: Tank for Trevah!

Patriots are loaded at Running back, Offensive line and Safety....Depth is ok at LB just very very young. You know those seasons when you complained about the rookies not getting enough play time.....well here we go.

Its becoming like a strike year for us, scabs vs starters...lol

Wow 6 already, was the opt out deadline today or something? I'm thinking there's gonna be a snowball effect:

"If he's not playing, maybe I shouldn't either".

I'm desperate for football but they should probably just cancel it in the spirit of fair competition, imagine if most teams lose 5-10 starters and then someone like the Chiefs game the system for an easy SB... lame.

Chung and Cannon struggled last season, and we thought they might be replaced. Hightower is a significant loss but would any of us other than the chicken littles think the season was over if High has torn an Achilles in camp? No. Next man up baby!

Ain't winning sh!t without Hightower. Sorry folks

If we tank and get Trevor Lawrence, my vote for a nickname is "Station!"source.gif

Does anyone really think there's gonna be a season

Patriots fans seem to be having trouble adjusting to the new reality that we won't be in the hunt for an indeterminate amount of time. It's okay guys. It happens to every team. We rode high for a hell of a long time. This was due to happen at some point. We won't be a crap team, but I think we'll be missing the playoffs and we'll need to get use to that happening fairly regularly until we get a top end QB. Maybe Cam will be good enough to get us in. Maybe even get to the top 8, but that's the limit. And I consider it more likely we miss entirely than make it as one of the top 8 teams. We simply don't have the team.

Our defense was pretty damn good last year but it got to beat up on a lot of bad offenses and had the benefit of an offense and STs which didn't put it in bad spots. The amount of turnovers and generally good punt return/kick off returns help the D. It was a bit overrated going by the 14.1PPG number as the second half of the year showed. Not that it was bad or even average. But when all is said and done it wasn't the best. Back end top 5. And it will be worse this year.

On the offensive side there will be some big issues. Brady took arguably the worst cast in the league and led them to respectability as one of the better offenses overall. I don't think Brady gets enough credit for his play last year. It was one of his worst years overall but even an aging Brady is still better than all but 1-3 QBs in the league last year. I don't expect even prime Cam to work those same wonders with what we'll be giving him unless Harry turns into an absolute super star.

He is the biggest loss, no doubt, but this is silly.

I ain't scared! We've got the baddest mothaf*cka alive for a head coach and he thrives when his team is counted out. These opt-outs just improve BB's chances of winning coach of the year, after they go 13-3 with these young bucks flying all over the field.

You guys can head for the exits before the season even starts. Me?

Cannon being out isn’t the end of the world, I don’t think he was playing up to his contract anymore even if he was overall still a decent tackle. Hard to say. I think they’ll work out the RT spot, maybe even with Thuney.

Chung is valuable but also missed a lot of time recently with injuries so they should be somewhat used to his absence. They also added Phillips who may be able to help, and Joejuan & Dugger are around too.

Obviously Hightower is the toughest to replace. Linebacker was already not a position of strength. Will definitely be a group that hinges on if the young guys are good or not. Copeland is here but I’m not overly optimistic he will be more than JAG level. Can we get Elandon Roberts back? Lol

all this is to say - I don’t care and I can’t stand it
