Worst case scenario is Stidham truly is the guy and this gives him the competition needed to rise to the top.

Like I said many, many times before, the team has nothing to lose if they sign Cam Newton.

Newton was a former MVP. His peak was really high.

If Newton wins the job and returns to form, the Patriots could compete for a championship.

If Stidham wins the job, Belichick will cut Cam before the season starts. What does the team have to lose? Nothing. Low risk, high reward gamble.

If we’re going to rebuild then rebuild. This gives us what an extra 2 wins? I’d rather win 5 games and be in the top 10 with a chance to maneuver than win 8 games and pick at 12 or 13 and trade back for a D lineman and another second round pick.

Too many butthurt fans here, not sure what their problems is.
If he sucks he will be cut.
If it works out then it’s good for the team.
His wardrobe choice is questionable, but if he performs I’ll be happy.
Guy hasn’t had off field issues.

There’s no wag Bill will hand over the job to stidham without competition .

Also one more thing to consider with this COVID situation is , it’s better to have 3/4 QBs on roster if god forbid one of them catches COVID
