OT: Brady “checked out” after Steelers loss in 2018?

Here we go, killing the messenger because we don't like what he's saying. You do realize Bedard isn't making this up. He's getting it from sources - likely in the Pats coaching staff. And they probably think Brady totally checked out last year - missing OTA's, refusing to throw to the Rookie receives. looking miserable after winning games, etc.

I think it's safe to say that it was best for everyone to move on. Both sides will be better off for it. I would like nothing more than to see a Pats/Bucs Super Bowl this year or next.

I am starting to believe that all this anti-Brady stuff from the media is try to help ratings this year. I read that secondary ticket sales are down 40 percent. Those that cover the team need to keep fan interest so blame Brady now that he is gone and believe Bill will carry the day. That will work until the games begin ...

They should have benched him after that loss....

There was an article on Pats Pulpit that made a case the Pats were transforming the team for life after Brady.
It's mostly theory and light on examples, but they drafted a running back and receiver in the first round for the first time ever under Belichick.

Maroney was a running back selected in the first round by BB.

This is a guy who used a first round pick on Tim Freaking Tebow. I think that is all you need to know about him.

And got caught actually taping opposing team's practices but no one brings that up because the Pats are the only team who cheats.

If you're looking for someone to find Brady trashing garbage articles for you look no further than our resident troll SB1.

"Brady checked out of a Super Bowl championship season".

Tough to promote his fountain of youth mumbo jumbo when all the team needed him to do was hand off, hold the trophy, and look pretty.

Probably felt like an ex boxer acting as a greeter an off the strip casino

No doubt he called his agent and said “find me a team loaded with weapons to make me look good again..... and make sure I can market the sh*t out of my hokey trademark ideas”

Broncos are the only team in league history who really were taping another team’s walkthrough and were caught and punished.

The culture of cheating in Denver got to Josh. ;)

If there is I’ll take the Pats and Belichick.

As another member has already informed you, this is a complete garbage. Some of you should pack up your **** and go home you are embarrassing.

If he would have picked a game this past year where he "checked out" maybe he'd have a leg to stand on, but the year TB pretty much carried them to the Super Bowl? Bedard's really out there sometime just looking for clicks, I heard his website wasn't doing as well as he thought so maybe he's resorted to more click bait stuff.

2018? The running game carried the offense to the Super Bowl title. Agreed about Bedard though. That’s what I’d expect from Trollin not him.

It could be media driven or it could be the uncertainty that the Covid situation has brought. Not just from a social distancing perspective but from people that may have been financially impacted. Or maybe it's a mix of both.

WOW MCcOuRTy iS SuCh a BrADy hATer I caNt bElievE he is aNTI BrAdY oH NoES whAT a TrOLL!1!!1 dislike thumbs down sob sob cry

Or something along those lines. lmao

I guess you didn't read the article. LMAO

So he "checks out" after the Steelers game. 2 weeks later throws for 4 TD's against the Jets. Leads the Patriots to such an insanely effective first half against a very good Chargers team (13-4 at start of game) that the game is over early 3rd quarter. Then goes into KC and leads team to a heart stopping comeback win when the Pats defense had no chance to stop them in the 2nd half. Team averaged over 30 points a game in the playoffs and he threw for over 950 yards. Did Bedard see how fired up Brady was when they scored to win that game? It's certainly possible he had disagreements about offensive direction but to use the term checked out is complete nonsense.

What a stupid headline and stupid article. All Bedard had to do was stop and think about the events in the playoffs folllowing the 2018 playoffs. . Brady is human and was pissed off after the loss I am sure.
There are somethings Brady has done that has rubbed me the wrong way but even I can't say he checked out in 2o19 let alone 2018. The worse you can say was he was not all in as he was previously, but even that can be explained away with his family responsibilities calling.
The TE position last year was criminal and BB should be held responsible for that. That offense he gave Brady last season was a tragedy.

Guy checked out in the playoffs, went 85-125 for 944 yards in 3 games. Totally checked out.
