McCourty and Chung getting old. I say we take either delpit or mckinney. Would be nice to have tee Higgins but bill won't pick a wr

Belichick doesn’t trade up, only down or out. Only trades up for bust DBs.

And arguably the best two defensive players we’ve drafted in the last decade*

* McCourty excepted.

Which is a very Patriot-y thing to do (see Joejuan Williams and Damien Harris).

Talking about the position rather than the player, I’m going to have to disagree I’m afraid. Unless you’re in our position, I don’t think you can have too many CBs in today’s NFL (although we seem to have managed it).

However, where I agree, is that I think the Dolphins could have done better.

Williams and Harris kind of make my point, Manx. Drafting non-playing players at stocked positions results in wasted years.

Another reason why Brady left. He had enough of the trade outs. BB may as well just give the 2nd round pick away as his history with it is abysmal.

I can see that, but I think we proved last year just how useful a lockdown secondary can be. A slot corner can still get on the field unlike Williams/Harris.

fwiw, I really liked those picks last year although perhaps less so in hindsight.

Caserio said the Patriots had a handful of players they were discussing at No. 23 overall.

"Every one of that handful of players will be available for the Patriots when they draft tomorrow"

- Adam Schefter

We joke about bills obsession with special teams...but seriously I'd bet if you looked at all of Bill's draft picks of the last 3 or 4 years you'd see an extraordinarily high % of special teams snaps played compared to offense/defense snaps... especially when you look at all the picks that are injured who've barely played or never played...

Basically, Bills getting special teams snaps out of draft picks and not much else

OK. Can’t comment unfortunately. Interesting size/athleticism though.
I watched ND a lot and I like him so maybe an over reaction, but I see him as another WR who tests faster than he plays and can’t get separation in the NFL. He plays hard and is a willing blocker from the wr position, but we need guys who can separate from defenders.

Trade outs are fine, as long as you hit with the resultant picks. BB's recent problem hasn't been lack of picks, though Roger's certainly not been a help there. BB's recent problem has been bad picks.

WOAT! How many superbowl wins do you think Belichick cost the GOAT?

BB Honks - "Stop criticizing BB's drafting. He's stuck drafting at the bottom of every draft! It's a lot easier to hit on players when you're drafting higher!"

Also BB Honks - "What makes BB so great at drafting is that he likes to drop down for more picks. More good players is better than fewer great players"

a study of the ‘great players’ we’ve missed out on by trading out would be an interesting project. That’s not sarcasm but genuine.

I must admit, I’m more down on BB’s drafting now than I have been at anytime before now.

These make me feel really good (Not !), they were discussing a handful of players at 23 ? But **** it, we’re not gonna take any of them. It would be too much of a shock to the system if we drafted a stud player at 23.

It would be a blast if BB would be honest enough with us to say something like "Well, at pick X, we were going to pick player Y, but the trade came in".

There's definitely an orgy going on at Vrabel's house right now.
