Hope you're right, but Buffalo is the much better team at this point. I think 2020 will be a down year before the team gets back on the right track in 2021 with much more cap room.

2020 Tampa smells a lot like year 1 of Pierce and Garnett in New Jersey to me. They'll probably make the playoffs but ultimately won't be good enough and then year 2 will be worse than 1...and their window will be closed.

How exactly do you know Stidham is better than Allen? He under performed (especially in some big spots) in college vs what the expectations were and his best-known pass in the pros was one he sailed that went the other way. Allen is nowhere near great by any stretch, but Stidham is a complete unknown. So this sounds more like hope.

Yeah, the same Gronk who came up HUGE in the AFCCG in Arrowhead against the Chiefs on the monster final driven coverting 3rd and 10s and huge catches throughout the game. The same Gronk with 2 monster catches in the game winning drive in the Superbowl including the signature catch of the game at the 2 yard line before opening the hole in the next snap for the running TD.

This part is definitely true : while 2018 was a down year STATISTICALLY, Gronk was such a key cog of that SB. He played amazing ball in key spots in big games AND for a guy so used to getting numbers, he was never a problem. He blocked like no man and the running game was clutch.

I have a great deal of respect for 2018 Gronk.

If you want to look at the current salary cap issues, you have a substantial chunk of dead money out there for 2020. Tom Brady and AB account for 18 million right there. And the Pats usually have the largest number of players on the team that make 1 million or more. The "middle class" player on the Patriots is alive and well.

To be fair, I don't think a lot of New Englanders have watched a whole hell of a lot of Tampa Bay football. Aside from a QB who threw 30 INTs, they were not a bad football team last year. They should be even better this year.

I really like their defense's chances of improvement. Not a bad unit last year, solidly average, could get better. Todd Bowles is a competent DC, a lot of guys look bad in New Jersey but I think that's just some kind of curse or something.
