Every team has 3 TEs; question is do they have 3 TEs worth a damn?

The other 2 were worth so much they decided to make Hooper the highest paid TE in football.

More than us
Facts. However, Njoku & Hooper are a pretty talented pair. Not sure they’d be willing to part with Njoku considering Stefanski’s ideal system as previously stated.

That wasn’t the point though.

Just to be clear I’m not ripping the Browns. They have the cap room and Hooper is going to help that offense. Good signing for the browns. And even if to this point njoku has shown to be a jag, he’s still an immediate upgrade to what we currently have and I would gladly deal a day 3 pick to get him.

Free agency has pretty much dried up (Derek Wolfe speculation still is out there). They will probably have to clear an additional $9 million or so to cover the draft class, players 52-55, practice squad and injured players plus a reserve for other necessities.

Where do you get that they'd have to clear an additional $9m? Not from Miguel..

Furthermore, they could free up 7M from Thuney with an extension and 7+M from Gilmore.

Free agency has "dried up" more so because of the travel restrictions and players not being able to get physicals.

Njoku is behind Searls-Jones at this point. Hooper is ahead of them both..

You're right. He also had/have a reputation for being "difficult" and a me-player.

Gilmore still has 3-4 good years. All I'm saying is if the right team in the right situation offers the right deal, then I'm open to trading him. We've seen teams in win now mode be willing to offer crazy deals. And a player like Gilmore is not available that often.

Nobody is giving us a first let alone two first for Gilmore

DeShawn keeps putting up posts about being unhappy basically untrusted Obrein in these tweets.
If McNair is dumb enough to keep Obrein over Watson we should oblige him.

Miya literally impossible for watson to leave that fact that it’s talked about is one of the dumbest things I’d heard in a while. Big deal he traded a top WR, nobody is trading a ****ing elite QB in his prime.

That’s two agreements that have fallen apart now, after it also happened to Darqueze Dennard and the Jags yesterday. Brockers had a high ankle sprain that apparently hasn’t healed completely.

It is a big deal that he traded a generational WR for pretty much nothing and for absolutely no good reason. Watson probably will be moved one way or another, even if it's next offseason instead of this one. I don't know if the destination will be here, but we're talking about it because it makes sense.

You're talking like it's not Bill O'Brien, and as if Watson hasn't practically burned the bridge with Houston already. The only way he stays there long term is if they get rid of BOB, which doesn't appear to be in the team's plans right now.

Does all of this make the Texans stupid? Absolutely. But it's still real.

They might not get two because of his age, but of course they'll get a 1st and then some.

Best cb in the league, defensive player of the year, still 3-5 good years left in him, on a reasonable contract.

Now, I might be wrong, but looking at other trades over the past few seasons, I just can't see a scenario where gilmore doesn't bring in at least one 1st.

smh even if Bill isn’t fired after this year you think the owner would let him trade a QB in his mid 20s. It’s not happening the kids the face of the franchise and Nuke isn’t a generational WR absolutely not.
There’s 0 chance Watson isn’t in Houston for the next 5-7 years absolutely none he’ll get tagged than get the biggest contract ever.
