Brady gone

Brady isn't going to have an easy time of it in the NFC South.

Also in that division are the Saints and a re-tooled Falcons.

When it comes down to coaching, I have to give the Saints the upper hand over Quinn and certainly over Arians.

Brees - Thomas - Sanders - Kamara - Cook

Ryan - Jones - Ridley - Hurst - Smith

Brady - Evans - Godwin - Brate - Howard - Jones

I wouldn't be surprised to see those 3 offenses put up 50 TDs apiece this season. And yes, I could easily see each of them splitting their head to head match-ups..

You morons trying to blame Brady are unbelievably ignorant. BB jerked this guy around for years with these BS incentive laden, under market, year to year contracts. No other franchise QB in the league was treated like this! Friggin ridiculous to treat the GOAT, and the coincidentally the guy who transformed this formerly garbage franchise into relevance, in this fashion. BB is a jerk and so is Mr * himself, Krafty Bob. Enjoy your 6-10 next season and descent back into total irrelevance.
No other franchise QB has been to 9 Super bowls, much less played in as many conference championship games as TB. Not Manning. Not Rodgers. No one. It wasn't all Tommy.

Blaming Brady is a mistake but c’mon, Brady signed those contracts. He could have walked away years ago if he felt they were an insult.
In one sense, Brady made a deal with the devil, in return for championships and the glory that comes with it.

Wade Philips two best SBs as defensive coordinator (50 with Denver, 53 with LA Rams) were more impressive than Belichick’s two NYG wins with Parcells. But you’d never hear how no one but Wade could possibly be such a genius to come up with that type of gameplan.
So Wade's been coaching for something like 50 years and these are his two biggest accomplishments? Compared to BB? Reminds me of interviewing a person for a Senior Business Development position. When asked about their greatest accomplishment, the response was leading a proposal effort for a large project but ending up losing the project. Not what I considered accomplishments

Basically the same team? Not exactly. Its #1 CB left and was not adequately replaced, its #1 safety was out most of the year, and suddenly teams with good deep passing games were able to beat them deep. And the 2007 that thrived with its aging LB crew suddenly saw the players act their age (Bruschi, Seau, Vrabel). And the ones who were in their primes never came back from injury fully healed (Colvin) or also got hurt midway through the year (Thomas).

None of that is reflective of the QB play, nor BB the coach. It is reflective of BB the GM.

Tom Brady being fully healthy does not produce an undefeated 2008. The only loss on the schedule that I feel confident would flip with Brady is the Colts one. The rest were defensive and special teams failures. Could Brady have led them back in a few of them anyhow? Maybe; that is what he does after all.

Of course all the Pats needed was that one game to get them to 12-4. The NFL was wide open that year; even that Cassel led team could have won it all had they snuck in. A Brady led 12-4 team would have been the favorites, that’s for sure.
Lots more points in 08 with Brady at QB

It would be silly to argue that Phillips has accomplished more than Belichick. But I didn’t do that.

Shouldn't you be on the Bucs forum?

Shouldn't you be on the Bucs forum?

Out of the Coronavirus thread now that 100% of the posters (besides you) have identified you as a mental ****roach?

If Brady wins a championship in Tampa, he’ll have more SB wins than any franchise. Imagine that.

We get it. You were a fan of the New England Tom Bradys, which has recently moved to Tampa Bay...

Why are we forgetting that the schedule was one of the easiest in recent memory.

I still can’t believe Tom Brady is going to be a Buccaneer.

This irks me a lot more than I thought it would.

Thanks Bill.

Gone.. day 4 . Officially Gone. Getting used to it.? Come on it's only football..!! You get to watch him play still . Just a little different... :(:p

Are you able to walk straight again? What a pounding you took earlier today. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a good dozen posters unanimously insulting someone like that. You were done dirty, pal.

Good news, though, is that Bortles might be the answer BB comes up with...
After Montana retired, the Chiefs managed to win the top seed in the AFC in '95 and '97, with the likes of Steve Bono and Elvis Grabac. They got the 2 seed in '03 with Trent Green. Rich Gannon was probably better than all of them. They did fizzle to one-and-done in all those playoffs.

I consider the Pats to be the best coached team in the league. And the least likely to make boneheaded strategic moves or plays at crucial moments. This alone should keep them competitive.

You do realize that a big part of why the Patriots have been knocked out of recent failed playoff runs has, at least arguably, been because of bonehead strategic moves or plays at crucial moments, right?

I mean, it's not just the Butler decision that's been bad and costly.

Yeah he was destroyed.

True, but do you think it's been as bad as with the other teams?
