Brady gone

You're not making any sense. In 2017 there was no way of knowing that the Pats would win another Super Bowl. Belichick, from all the reports, wanted to go with the younger guy and Kraft stepped in to save Brady. This time Belichick has another QB he apparently likes and didn't want to trade away the future of the team a second time.
But now we do have the benefit of hindsight and thereby are able to determine that your position is wrong. Keeping Brady was the right move.

Brady never wanted to go back. It was clearly due to personnel reasons.

The clear difference is that Brady gets his money, Tampa has a ton of young talent on O, good enough D, and a s*** load of cap room.

This could not have worked out any better for Brady - got money, guaranteed years, warm weather, good roster, offensive HC, close to NY. I am happy for him as I want his career to end as well as possible. I hope he lights it on fire. I also hope BB gets things rolling which I know he will. I already like our off-season a lot, losing Brady not withstanding.

When did Bob become so spineless and useless ?? I remember, back in the late 90's and early 2000's I thought we had the best owner ever, now ever since Spygate and especially deflate gate I have really started to despise him, he is at least 50% responsible for Brady's departure if not more !! It is really time for Jonathan to take over .

Met Bob & his wife numerous times at Smithfield in the 90s. Big admirer. Ever since his wife passed he's been lost. Understandable. He needs to STFU and hand over the reigns based on his flip flopping weakness in Deflategate. That told Brady how much he could rely on Bob Release 2.0 when push came to shove.

You're having a hard time, aren't you? I never said it wasn't the right move. I am merely pointing out what Belichick was thinking at the time.

I hope Tampa goes 14-2, wins the Super Bowl, and Brady runs away with the MVP. I'm fully on board and backing the Bucs 100%. Go ahead and insult my Patriots fandom, could care less. I've been a Pats fan since 1978 and what they've accomplished the last 20 years has been incredible! I'm also a realist. The Pats are looking at somewhere between 5-11 and 7-9 next year. I'm rooting for them but it is rebuilding time and expectations are greatly lowered. I'm very happy for Tom and wish him the best. At this point I want nothing more than for him to succeed in the greatest way possible to shove it right up all the haters asses!

Effin Jameis. Guy throws for 5000 yards and 35 TDs. Any other QB at that age with those kind of numbers is a franchise cornerstone for the next 5 years, if not decade. Free agent 43 year old Tom Brady is available? No thanks, says Tampa Bay. We've got our QB moving forward, they say.

BUT...

Then you throw in 30 picks and a boatload of fumbles and suddenly your team is QB shopping and throwing $50-59M at Tom Brady. Good God, if you still threw only a still-crappy number of 20 picks you're likely still the Tampa QB, but noooo. You have to go throw freaking THIRTY picks.

Seriously, **** that guy.

Regards,
Chris

What specifically is it about BB that makes TFB tired of him? Tom is a hard worker, OK OTAs aside, he still sets the example. Works hard off season.
Both of them are very critical of mistakes. Are folks thinking Tom just wants a situation where he makes 2-3 turn overs in a game and next Monday the coach in game review says "No biggie! We're onto next Sunday's TO fest!"?
I could see TFB frustrated with BB's sub par draft picks.
I could see TFB frustrated with in my view Kraft's hasty AB jettison.
I could see TFB frustrated hearing Gisele ***** & moan about Bob's excellent adventures in FL and tiring of his sanctimony, especially after his below weak support on Deflategate.

He was never going back to NE.

Curran's going to get a bunch of dislikes and disagrees from the homers here at Patsfans.com.

Curran sucks. He used to be good but not anymore.

Deleted Brady from all my social media accounts. I suggest most do the same now that’s he is officially a non Pat. As he said in the last active playing career post that I will see was “nobody cares what you did in the past only what you do in the present” or something like that.

Okay Tom, I don’t care what you did in the past either. May the ball sail wide and high in your future football endeavors.

Rap is clueless. No way BB would have done this deal.
Agree. This deal is what TB/Yee wanted in 2018 but BB said no. There's no way he would have said yes in 2020.

Brady is the GOAT without question and i appreciate all he has done for our franchise. But he is dead to me now. I dont like the way this whole thing went down and while we will never know what the Pats offers was, i find it very aggravating that he would leave for $5M more (reports have the Pats offer at $25M). Im also pissed at Kraft for not stepping in and just paying him what he wanted. If that means we dont have money for any other players, so be it. i think it would have been important for Brady to retire a Patriot. Kraft is ****ing weak. I have a feeling they all lose on this one (Kraft, BB, and Brady) and look pretty stupid. The Bucs have a nice offense but Brady is about to find out the grass is not always greener. Just disgusted over the whole thing

I'm upset but not at Brady.

This starts with Kraft and trickles down to Belichick. They should have figured out a way to give TB another shot here.

Now I'm just hoping that TB can make it through another season. I'll be pulling for the Pats and both TBs next season.

Bloated ego...he walked out on Kraft, the region, and his teammates because he wants to play for more money on a team with more talented teammates, so he can add to HIS legacy, a legacy he never would have attained were it not for Belichick and the Patriots.

Brady...you've become, or been exposed as, just another diva athlete, and that's what people despise. I think too many Pats fans will still believe the charade about you though.

In your twisted mind, and in the twisted minds of other Patriot honks, it's somehow Brady's fault the he left, when it was BB wouldn't give him an honest multi-year extension for his security.

Y'all really need to stop following sports, because they're warping your brains.

This is psychotic FYI.

I would add that I'm not even sure Belichick COULD reload for one last run with Brady, even if he wanted to. I don't think the cap space is there to pull it off unless Brady took less money that he'd realistically be willing to accept in the first place. To really do it and have it actually work Brady would have to take some crazy low deal because of the overall state of the team's salary cap space.

The miracle is that it took this long to reach a point where they just couldn't square the circle of keeping Brady vs. building the roster.
he is dead to me now meaning i root for the name on the front, not the back. Even more so now that i hear he didnt even give the Pats a chance to match. good luck to him in Tampa. I will root for him again when he is inducted to the HOF.

Anyone else thinking that if there is a 2020 season, the Bucs open up at KC for their banner night?

He was never going back to NE.
I actually don't care; 20yrs of Tom Brady was more than anyone could have hoped for. My rant was more of how amazingly bipolar Jameis' season was last year for Tampa to even consider QB shopping.

Chris

I get it. Jamies could’ve made a lot of money had he not been so careless with the football.
