Brady gone

Would love to still have Jimmy G. Bill loved him and he seems to have something special - very different QB than Brady.

Stidham is exciting, and while he's not the same QB as Brady, he's more like Brady than Garoppolo is.

I want to see a more modern offense and passing attack moving forward, and while I'm sure we'll see evolution with Stidham, I'm not sure we'll see the same amount as we would have with Garoppolo. Oh well, it was the correct decision at the time.

Which is a little strange, given that Garoppolo was literally taught in HS and college to play like Brady.

Honestly look at the team right now and tell me... How in the world is there so little talent and cap room left.

WTF are you going on about "so little talent and cap room"??

They have an outstanding secondary with the following:
Gilmore, Jones, JMac, Jackson, DMac, Harmon.

They are set at RB with the following:
Michel, Harris, Burkhead, Bolden, White

They have a very solid O-line with:
Wynn, Thuney, Andrews, Mason, Cannon

They have what should be a good corps of WR:
Edelman, Harry, Sanu, Meyers

They have some of the best Special Teams players:
Slater, Justin Bethel.

They some good young talent:
Jake Bailey, Chase Winovich, Byron Cowart

They have several young players coming back from injury who are highly regarded by the team:
Cajuste, Froholdt, D'Angelo Ross, Malik Gant

And they have 14 draft picks.

And, at the very least, they could free up $27M in cap space to do lots of signing with.

So is patsfans.com gonna die down now that Brady's gone? Since sooo many people said they're done with the NFL when Brady's gone? Or gonna wait for the other wheel (BB) to fall off before jumping off the bandwagon?

Going to have go back to deflategate threads and call em all out

I think it’s between LA and TB. TB has an slight edge on player personnel and ties to potential AB reunion.

But networks would be fighting over Chargers games with TB there. They’d get many prime time games.

Did Rivers retire??

I hope it’s not tampa but we shall see. He’s gonna look weird with that awful uniform lol.

Gotta wonder if Jules decides to retire. He's taken an absurd beating over the past few seasons and has always been attached to Tom at the hip. We shall see.

I know we're all a little in shock but Bethel Johnson?

Chargers and they trade a second or third for Jules.

He’s either retiring or going wherever Brady goes IMO. He’s not playing with another quarterback

I kinda hope it IS Tampa. They have weapons & an offense first coach. Then we’ll sees hat he can do at 43 with those players and that system.

I wish him the best. He’s earned “choice”. Great player.

Im not leaving, its going to be interesting watching the team, and how it handles the loss of tb. I don't expect to win as much this year, but I expect to be in every game.

He’s definitely not looking forward to getting some hospital balls thrown his way.

If you put a gun to my head Chargers

Not really comforted with Stidham taking over having no tight end, aging Edelman with virtually no other WR help, and Sony just not inspiring confidence. This offense could be really bad, and I'm struggling seeing 8 wins with the current roster.

This defense is going to have to ball even harder, and on paper (and the vets being older) it's worse than last year. Brady cured a lot of ails, and people need to prepare themselves for what's coming.

Sanu played the last 6 games with Torn Tendons in his ankle.
Have you already given up on Harry and Meyers?
Do you realize that the league year hasn't technically started yet?

Only people who ignore the injuries on the O-line and at FB think that Sony isn't inspiring confidence. When the O-line was finally healthy AND they used Roberts to lead the way, Sony did fine. The problem is that they never stuck with it for any length of time.
