No we have a 1st - which is perfectly reasonable value for Hopkins.

Love how you ignore the fact that it's very unlikely the Texans called the Patriots regarding Hopkins since they're in the same conference. You just continue on with your idea that the Patriots could have traded for him regardless of it showing how you haven't thought it through.

As @TommyBrady12 pointed out, the Patriots also don't have the cap space for Hopkins. Plus, Hopkins wants a new contract, which is what facilitated the trade.

So, instead of whining about the Pats not doing something, why not stop and think about it from a logical perspective?

Let’s get Kupp. 1.5 cap hit (roughly).

do they need oline help though? They’re already talking about trading Cooks they are hell bent on keeping Kupp.

Cleveland has oline needs and will go power run with the new coach

this makes really hate Sanu a as player anymore
Why? It’s not a coincidence that both Clowney and Hopkins were given away to NFC teams.

They’d prob take picks. They have tons of third or fourth rounders I believe. I’d do a first for Kupp and like a fourth.

How could the price for Hopkins be THAT low? Houston should publicly execute O’Brien, Easterby, and co. WTF just happened!!?
For their sake they better know something we don't know, like a bad medical or upcoming suspension.

Media has been saying Hopkins was available for months now.

If this is all they could get, it's pretty likely there is more to the story.

The acquisition of Johnson likely means that Lamar Miller's time in Houston is done.

They traded TWO firsts for Laremy Tunsil!

Agree it’s not about Hopkins it’s about the player of the calibur we got for our pick.

Texans roster mismanagement is going to be looked at in the same way in history as the Matt Millen era Lions.

Holy **** that DeAndre Hopkins trade is amazing. For an injury-prone running back (running back!) and a 2nd (and giving back a 4th). The worst goddamn front office in the league.

You're ignoring the money that it frees up for them. 11M this year.

Hopkins has been grousing for a new contract since the end of the season despite there being 3 years left on his deal. Mind you. He's only 2 years in on a 5 year extension he signed at the end of 2017.

Yes, giving up the best receiver in football for a modicum of cap space is such a good idea.
