Sure, but that's not his fault as the supply of the chemicals needed for the kits here in this country is low. Could he have shut down travel from Europe sooner? The US executive branch (and who is responsible for that branch?) made the specific decision to not approve and use the WHO tests that much of the rest of the world is using and make its own. Which it then made defectively and lost more time. It absolutely is his fault.

2. Initially downplayed the threat, called it a hoax and has repeatedly undermined government/public health messaging
3. Reportedly slow walked testing because he didn't want to undermine his reelection chances
4. Has surrounded himself with sycophants and incompetents, and has put unqualified doofuses in important positions (Jared Kushner, Larry "Cokespoon" Kudlow)
5. Gave what was likely the worst, most counter-productive public address by any President in recent history, if not throughout, wherein he made several misstatements of fact
6. Has refused to allow states flexibility to use Medicaid funds in response to the pandemic
7. Has repeatedly demonstrated that he cares more about the stock market/economic implications than public health effects
8. Has failed to produce any sense of calm or reassurance. Doesn't appear to have any idea what to do in response, other than to advocate for a payroll tax cut, but only through November (gee, I wonder why)

I'm sure there are many more points that could be added. And to answer your question, a heck of a lot better.

QM already broke down the numbers using conservative estimates. If we end up with only 5 digits of deaths from this thing I think that will be a huge victory.
