Why i should be' unconfortable...i live in north Lombardia near Switzerland...

While I have said that I worry about mass hysteria you only have to look at Italy to understand why drastic measures are being taken. I read over there you guys are running out of room in hospitals for the sick and might need to resort to triage (!). Also cases are increasing exponentially.

Many more cases are going to come here but we’ve gotta slow down the spike in them as best as can be done.

North Italy is strong...Lombardia is the strongest economical area in Italy..
Lombardia alone is approx 22% of overall italian "revenue"...sanitary system was at best but coronavirus created something bigger and bigger...doctors are working 12 hours a day...if Lombardia collapse...it will be' sure impossible for other places here and not only here to do better...

We are 10 millions...Lombardia is a power...Milan Como Varese Bergamo Brescia Monza etc...one of the few strongest economical places in Europe...

Exactly. The US has approximately 1 million hospital beds of which, 700,000 are typically filled at any given time.

A spike in covid patients, many of whom will require hospitalization, will absolutely overwhelm available resources. And this doesn’t include the limited number of ICU beds and vents needed for the sickest patients. Flattened growth is huge.

For making light of the situation and touching the reporters' mics jokingly, while having COVID-19 unknowingly. You can still apologize for doing an irresponsible thing, even if he didn't realize at the time that what he did was risky.

Yeah, he didn't pass HIV, but he isn't the person who's going to be affected by this. It's the elderly and immunocompromised who are going to be hardest hit, and sooner than later that demographic will include someone we know, respectively.

Can't blame a peak athlete in the prime of his life for being goofy and lighthearted about a virus that will likely have very little impact on his overall health, but I think it shows strength and character to acknowledge his mistake, even if he didn't realize he was making a mistake at the time.

So you clearly aren't paying any attention at all at how fast those case numbers of rising. Yesterday, there were four thousand new cases. Today there were nearly eight thousand. Can you do the math? (keep in mind that they aren't even testing in this country)
