Wow! That's funny and sad!

I know he was kidding, but who was interviewing him and how did this get leaked? I’d be PISSED!

There's nothing wrong with asking a question that tests a person's abilitu to think quickly on his feet.

One would think that when you are prepping for the biggest interviews of your life, that you’d be ready for curveballs. Maybe he didn’t care. To me, it’d be a sign that this guy wasn’t ready. How do I trust him to be ready on Sundays ?

(a stretch, but still, everyone at the combine should be ultra prepared)

He'd be a good one to crack jokes in the locker room, and if I had a bunch of wound-up roidheads, I might draft this guy for that reason alone.

But in all other respects, yeah, I'd think twice about drafting him. I mean, have some sense about where you are.

I didn’t say there was anything wrong with the question.

I can’t even begin to think of all the off the wall, stupid **** these players say in these interviews. Imagine the impression teams had about Gronk after his meetings.

That kind of response makes me thinks the tables are turned. How are you going to react to that answer.

I knew that's what he was gonna say before he said it. That's the only good way to answer that. This is our guy

Which team was interviewing him here? Furthermore, how does this get leaked?

Huh, a college-aged athlete saying something immature and crass. Has this happened before?

Tee hee. I'm juvenile.

Regards,
Chris

Like an agent prepping the guy for the Wonderlic, you know certain interview questions always show up. "tell me your strengths, weaknesses, etc. "where do you see yourself in 5 years." You have to be ready....
Sounds like they didn't do him any favors...

There's a whole lot of humor that is lost on people who haven't embraced the self-roast life.

Raise your hand if you have never wished for such a thing. Hypocrites.

I see it as a laid back funny guy for the locker room. Let's be honest, NFL players aren't the sharpest tools in the shed and I'm sure teams hear all kinds of dumb stuff from hundreds of players. At least the guy is funny and self deprecating.

As usual, lotta gavel bangin going on here. It was both hilarious and brutally honest. I wouldn't have answered in such a way, but then again, this isn't like a job interview in the real world.

The expectations and treatment of elite athletes is far different from anything else seen in the business world. Top tier athletes are coddled from high school through retirement. The expectations of behavior and propriety applied to them at work is far different than what you've experienced. There is no other corporate orientation in the real world where they're gonna tell you to have a fall guy.

That said, the expectations had for their personal lives, and not bringing bad press to the NFL, is far greater than most people experience. Few careers end so easily from domestic violence or other crimes.

Teams are looking for a how a guy might fit in with the locker room. Making fun of yourself is hardly a bad thing.

The way he says it is so awkwardly hilarious. Pretty sure he slowly mumbled his thoughts out loud: "bigger ****", laughs at his own answer, then quickly realizes within 1.6 seconds that he mumbled it first and needs to say "bigger ****" more clearly.
