Crowd chanting "Let's go Red Sox"

at the end of Sunday's game would you find it appropriate to chant "Let's Go Revolution"?

After all, they are in the playoffs and even share a home with the Pats.

...and honestly, I am actually a big fan of the Revs, I just still think it would be out of place

of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I am just giving mine. I am not trying to start a war of verbal insults but....

The way I feel about hearing Sox chants at Pats games is the same way I feel about about seeing fans at Fenway wearing Yankees jerseys to a Sox-Blue Jays game. They are out of place.

your nothing but a foreigner and front runner .95 percent of patriots fans are from the boston area and are die hard boston sports fans and that includes the redsox.your opinion on this subject is worthless because your not from the boston area .stop embarrassing yourself .

You know where I'm from? Re-read the thread, goofy. (And be kind to foreigners.)

This reminds me of that Three Stooges episode, "Morons Are Us -- And Proud of It!"

When 99% agree with me, it's impossible for ME to be the moron. Besides, we already declared it as fact it's ok to cheer the Sox at Pats games.

You already lost this debate and you're still answering every comment, so who's the moron?

Piss poor analogy...the Yankess jersey at a any sox game is like wearing a Colts jersey to any Pats game.

...and neither is like cheering for the sox at pats games. How on earth did you come up with that lame analogy?

If people feel like it. Problem is, I don't think you'll find a thousand people in that stadium who give a rats arse about MLS soccer. On the other hand, I'm sure a majority does care about the Red Sox.

As of today, the Revs don't count as a major league sports attraction in New England...maybe someday, but surely not now.

This topic is getting blown WAY out of proportion. Times are pretty good here in the Boston area if this thread gets 3,000 hits and this is our only problem. Let’s move on and get down to some real football conversations.

Just think...when ALL of New England is watching the series, Tunescribe will be sitting by his pc making entries in this thread.

Now THAT'S a sad state to be in.

I've been to a handful of Revs games. So I've done my part. Not the most exciting thing in the world but I've also never played soccer. Hell, I've even been to a couple of the now defunct Boston Breakers games.

your not from the boston area .you may live here now but your nothing but a front running phoney ass FOREIGNER so called pats fan .when the glory days are gone youll be gone.LETS GO REDSOX LETS GO REDSOX LETS GO REDSOX :rocker:

While Tunescribe is severely misguided when it comes to the Red Sox, he is definitely not a front runner when it comes to the Patriots.

STEVE...shut the Eff up!

99% of the Pats fans here DON'T think it's stupid, therefore, it's NOT stupid. Majority always wins...so you lose:rocker:

Don't tell me to do anything moron. For the most part 99% of fans are stupid.

Just because you have a problem with limited comprehension doesn't make it right to project that onto others, Moga.

Idiot. Re-read my posts in this thread for answers to your questions and corrections to your mistaken assumptions.

No, no, NO! That's NOT what happened! There were hundreds of people listening to the baseball game on radios. I saw and heard this happen and remember it vividly because it was so weird: The cheering wasn't stadium-wide. Seconds after McNair scored, a pocket of fans in the south end zone burst into cheers because something simultaneously happened at Fenway. Then groups in other parts of the stadium did the same thing as word spread. It had nothing to do with the scoreboard.

I was at that game toolbox, they showed it on the scoreboard...

I have nothing against Pats fans who aren't from the area, I can appreciate that greatness is attractive, but you need to STFU about hating on the Sox. In Boston, we support ALL of our teams and like to show that unity. It's why you see Garnett throwing out the first pitch at a Sox game, or the entire Red Sox team in a luxury box at the Fleet center in 2002 for the Celts playoff games. I'd love to see a Pats chant at the world series because it reminds everyone of the crossover of our fans from one great team to the next. We have a very proud history and a lot to be thankful for especially the Pats. So if it pisses you off that most Pats fans are Red Sox fans and Celtics fans and Bruins fans and BU and BC fans and are proud of that then go jump on another bandwagon, because I'm sure they make green and pink hats for that team too.

Oh and to all you phony Connecticut Yuppies who jumped ship to the Yankees when the Sox were losing and now choose the Pats because they are the best, you can rot as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know what scoreboard you were watching, idiot -- maybe the one reflecting off your beer cup? There was nothing about the baseball game posted on the scoreboard at the moment McNair scored. Go back under the rock you slithered out from, fool.

Umm, I don't drink, your right it wasn't when Mcnair scored. It was when Brown had a kickoff return called back, they PLAYED THAT PART OF THE GAME ON THE JUMBOTRON. Don't tell me what I saw when you weren't even there dumbass. The Pats didn't know why we were cheering anegative play.

I went to a Red Sox game that was also attended by Bill Belichick. It was a late September, 2004 Sunday night game against the Yankees. There was a ton of excitement on the field as well as the stands because while BB watched from a luxury box, Senator Kerry, who was right in the middle of the Presidential race, and Ben Affleck were in the stands. The loudest cheer of the night wasn't for something in the game. It wasn't when Kerry threw out the first ball, and it sure wasn't when Affleck did whatever stupid thing he did. The longest, loudest cheer came when they put BB up on the Jumbotron.

This fight isn't between Red Sox and Patriots fans. Its between normal, New England sports fans and internet wackjobs.

I was at the game also. The crowd was going wild because Troy returned the punt for a TD. Then they saw the flag and started boing. Not even 10 seconds latter they showd a clip from the Red Sox (red sox scoring) game on the jumbotron and the crowd started going nuts again.
I wonder if Tunescribe had a problem with Bob Kraft shmozing with John Henry in his luxury box during one of the ALCS games. Or with the fact that the Krafts are big Red Sox fans (and every other boston pro team) and have season ticket. Why would Kraft support the BankofAmericaRedSox/DesperateHouseWifes (WTF does that mean anyway? What is the corelation between the Sox and BoA?)

I've been a Patriots season ticket holder since 1994 and haven't missed a home game in 14 years. I just corrected you and you admit to it, DUMB ASS. I swear, people like you give idiocy a bad name.

You've lost the context of this thread. The issue is cheering/chanting for baseball at inappropriate times during Patriots games, NOT whether the Krafts support Boston's baseball team. The cheering when McNair scored is the key example of what I'm talking about. I have absolutely no issue with cheering that is prompted by something the Patriots post on the scoreboard, whether it addresses baseball, basketball, or tiddly winks. Pay attention.
