I was looking for certain clips and noticed I had a few post deleted in the Britt released thread.

I made this comment and was called an idiot ...
"Makes sense coming to a set in stone conclusion after a few preseason games.

He definitely needs some time & so does the team to get an offense more suited for him".

Which is fine in all honesty. I don't get upset over this stuff and certainly don't report or run to mods when something comes up.

I simply reminded @Off The Grid he had more bust than Anna Nichole Smith after surgery and listed a bunch. Literally copy/paste his work. I didn't distort his work or anything. Simply gave him a lil ass kicking.

I love OTG and appreciate what he does as a draftnik. Deleting stuff like that is crazy to me. I pm'd @Ross12 but got no response.

Not the biggest deal but imo pretty weak. I don't think it was personal at all and mods overstepped. Would just like some clarification bc that's an exchange that happens almost daily here if we're being honest.

I've been on 2 Pats site before this and can say easily its the best. I do think the deleted post have gotten a bit much with all due respect.
If it was me I would be happy to reply ... but I don't remember it.
What thread ... I will be happy to look.

Mods have power on this site. They can delete all your threads or ban you. I don't kiss up to power. That's just my value system. I'm sorry if you find that objectionable, but I have to follow what I believe is right.

Yeah, this forum is so oppressive and you are forced to be here. What a joke. Maybe you can volunteer to moderate the forum??? Or just keep up the delusion that you’re fighting those big, bad powerful people here and are the beacon of hope. Remind you: this is a non-profit forum and these are volunteers with no incentive other than the satisfaction of kindness.

Go get a video game where you can be the underdog and battle the system.

You were asked to be a mod to free him up for his efforts.
If you remember I tried to tell you to really think hard about it ...
because I knew what was to happen.

Oh I remember our convos.

Not sure if you were referring to me or not, but I wanted to set the record straight....please see my post below..if this is calling you a name. then you misunderstood my post. If another mod called you a name, I'm sure they had a reason. ;)

I didn’t delete it, but my guess was it was like other posts of yours where most would consider them trolling.

But come on, you say it's not personal, but one of your mods called me a name in PatJew's thread. That's the definition of personal. It may not be personal to you, but I think you are giving your mods the benefit of the doubt, which although understandable, doesn't always lead to the correct conclusion.

You're under the impression that any of us have the energy in what little free time each of us has to have an agenda like that. We don't have "power" - we have the technical ability. You're reading way too much into this. And we don't need you to kiss up to any of us. Just please do as we ask and you'll be fine. We're a lot easier to work with than you might think

When did I say it was oppressive or that I was forced to be here? Where did I say I was a beacon of hope? You really took this and ran with it in your head man. No offense, but really, I didn't say any of that ****. I simply said that I don't kiss up to power as a general rule. I'll be friendly, polite, and respectful, sure. But I'm not going to type, "Oh Ian, you're a god, you're so great, thank you so much for gracing us with your unbelievable site." That is just considered unseemly in my value system. I'm sorry that this has apparently caused you some distress, but all I can do is follow right as I see it.

LOL, yeah...that just sounds weird. Glad you have no intention of doing that - it's just a football website. Really not that amazing, so I agree with you there ;)

Some take their opinion to seriously ...
If I had a hair for every time I was wrong here I would have a full head of it.

Wasn't meant to be.
Yeah...sort of thought you were kidding there. I understand that mindset I guess when it comes to a political forum but a football board shouldn't be like that. We're all just fans and each of the mods simply were kind enough to offer to help out here and there with things. That shouldn't create a conflict of interest unless it was more of a divisive topic...which aside from way back (Brady/Bledsoe) or I guess the AB thing ... we really don't have much of that going on here...?

I miss having mine...the whole "you have hair on the back of your head, now you don't have hair", is a little annoying. Not fond of that little surprise some of us get hit with as we get older ;)

Maybe not - definitely not like it was in the political forum.

Do you realize you bring no financial value to any of these people? You act like you’re a consumer choosing which product suits you best. You have the entire relationship structure wrong here. They have no obligation to provide this site for you. You should be more gracious.

Unfortunately, in this age we occupy, grace is a lost art.

Translation:

1. I can act however I want because it’s “my value system” and therefore I’m going to continue doing it. I’m not going to listen to obvious fact that this is a forum moderated by non-incentivized volunteers and the idea of “power” is silly and absurd in that context. And I can attack others by calling them “ass kissers” because, while totally out of line, my value system dictates I absolutely must insult others.

2. When others use their own “value system” to judge me, call me a troll, or have a problem with my behavior, I’m going to cry about it. It isn’t fair! And how can people attack poor me?

I know your type...always going to be drama. Even from this thread alone it’s clear your self-awareness levels are badly lacking and you have a false sense of entitlement. Of course you’re always going to feel singled out due to this combination. Good luck.

Although, when I think back to the Bledsoe/Brady days (wish I still had those posts) - it was ugly. That one was tough and that would qualify with what you're saying. That was definitely difficult...although Brady winning it all sort of settled that

Yeah, your user name probably doesn’t do you any favors with these things. (And this is coming from someone with the god-awful name of “Aluminum Seats,” which I threw in there thinking that I would post once and never come back again. Of course that was about 14 years ago.)
October 11, 1969:

"What're you watching on TV, Dad?"

"Hi, Son. Just watching the Patriots game. That kid Carl Garrett is pretty good, just scored. They're in Buffalo."

Thinking to myself: "OK, I'll just watch this once, and never do it again"...
