It's easy, and only takes a few moments. When we first cut him I would've thought that it was crazy that he'd never play again. After everything recently I agree that his chances are pretty slim unless he makes a drastic turnaround.I doubt AB ever plays again
Wasn't it, like, Bill himself who pushed to sign him in the first place?
Then why didn't we invest that much in Sanders?
Didn’t you call Mankins a diva for trying to take care of his finances lol? That was just a sloppy post by you, Ice. Deion Branch a "diva"????? Wow. Perhaps you didn't follow the Patriots back then........
The guy had a handicapped child and huge bills for his son's healthcare. He was never a "diva". Notice Belichick had no problem in bringing him back a few years later. None of those other WRs listed are anywhere NEAR the "King of all media" that AB has been trying to be for 3 years. Nowhere close.
Go ahead, Ice. Let's hear the similarities between any of those WRs listed and AB. Which ones went into personal tirades against their QB and teammate WRs on social media? Which ones choked their GM? Which ones threatened to retire over their football helmet? Which ones posted video of themselves celebrating and "flying free" when he got cut by his team? Which ones did any of those things and more like AB did. I'll wait.
The sad truth that you still can't comprehend is that AB had multiple opportunities to get back before the season was over with another team this year - - if only he had some impulse control EVEN AFTER the Pats cut him.

Absolutely asinine statement. He was the best/one of the best guards in the league his entire career. He was an All-Pro around the time of his hold out and was a Pro Bowler for a few years afterwards. Aside from John Hannah he is likely the best offensive lineman in team history.Don't recall ever calling him a "diva".
Mankins was an incomparable situation to Branch. He sat out more than half a regular season and publicly crapped on the Krafts.
He also wasn't worth what he was asking and was a ringless wonder. His was drafted after the 2004 SB season and left before the 2014 SB season. His tenure was the "desert" portion of the dynasty 20 years. So yeah, it sure as hell looks like he wasn't the end all for success. Funny how the Pats did better without a player like that. The team that he went to floundered in his 2 years there.
At some point the other 10% of posters here may come to the conclusion that has been exposed year after year that selfish individual stars who do not put team first are not the end all.
Belichick has been teaching that simple lesson ever since he benched the best WR (by far) on the first Patriots SB winning team in the middle of the season before it took off on its championship trajectory.
The reason why the Patriots are the greatest dynasty in NFL history the past 2 decades is because Belichick is the outlier in not putting up with that ****.

he's on a downward spiral..won't end wellWhen we first cut him I would've thought that it was crazy that he'd never play again. After everything recently I agree that his chances are pretty slim unless he makes a drastic turnaround.

Just a ridiculously stupid take.

This guy is a train wreck. I can't sit quiet anymore!!! So glad we got rid of him, he's never playing in the NFL again.
Such a shame because he is so talented and could have helped us.

You claimed he "wasn't worth what he was asking". He was a first team All-Pro the year he held out. So try to comprehend here for a second. He was the best guard in the league. He wanted to be paid. In training camp the next year he was the highest paid guard in the league.LMAO. Reading comprehension eludes you.
Never said Mankin wasn't great at his position. Where did you get that idea??????
He wasn't the key to a Super Bowl victory for a team.
No player is. Especially a player who is not about the team first.
Antonio Brown is a "great player" also. There is no argument about his prowess, either.
Maybe someday, you will be able to comprehend.

You also belittled his career by calling him a "ringless wonder". He was a 7x Pro Bowler, a first team All-Pro, and a 5x second team All-Pro. He was also on the Patriots all 2000's team and the Patriots 50th anniversary team. So it seems to be he more than pulled his weight but I guess by your logic Dan Connolly or Ryan Wendell are better Patriots guards because they have a ring.
I don't really care about whatever pretzel logic you're trying to use to tie him and Antonio Brown together. Saying he "wasn't worth what he was asking" and calling him a "ringless wonder" is just stupid. No need to dig in your heels and defend this foolishness.
"Over the last few years I have stood at the side of my children’s father Antonio Brown and watched the rise and fall of an incredible man and athlete. Our children and I have distanced ourselves from him and our former home. Although we have parted ways I wish nothing but the best for him. Unfortunately, it seems Antonio has made questionable choices and continues to ignore the advice of those who love and support him. At this point the boys and I are working on building a new life free from any impulsive, reckless and unhealthy behaviors. My hope is that Anotonio will get help and seek the mental health treatment that he so desperately needs so that he can be the father all of his children need and deserve"

No player is. Especially a player who is not about the team first. From your post, it appears you judge team success by pro-bowl/all-pro nominations. You are just another FFLer who have no idea why the Patriots dominated these past 18 years. Perhaps you believe a team's success is tied to pro-bowl nominations????
The Patriots lost NOTHING in regards to their competitiveness when they "lost" the best left guard in the game in August 2014. In fact, they began arguably the most successful 5 years in NFL history. The TEAM is far more than one player. This isn't the NBA, kiddo.
Antonio Brown is a "great player" also. Look at all those pro-bowls he's got. There is no argument about his prowess, either.
Maybe someday, you will be able to comprehend.

Yes dig your heels in and defend your clown take. Lets crap on one of the best players in team history because he didn't win a ring. If only they had traded him earlier we would've won another 2 or 3 rings!!!"You claimed he "wasn't worth what he was asking".
Exactly, he WASN’T!!!! History proves that out. The Patriots went on to unprecedented heights in the following years without him and the Buccaneers languished with him. The superstar player doesnt override the entire team.
You list out only individual accomplishments. That’s great if your his agent. I, on the other hand, am a fan of a TEAM. Players are only beneficial if they are great players and benefit the entire TEAM. That is a combination of talent, grit, salary cap space and team oriented mentality. All 4.
You are wasting everyone's time. It’s about winning games and championships, not your little FFL league.
