BB refused to allow McDaniels interviews to be moved up in time after the playoff loss

Maybe bb is covering for McDaniels.... McDaniels wants to stay relevant but doesn't want to take a job this year until Brady is really done

I think McDaniels is coming back - and I'm glad.

If I had a boss who fought to prevent me from leaving because he valued me so much I’d take it as a huge compliment and stay there for life.

Maybe just negotiate some more money and a succession plan for the future.

But in a world that chews people up and throws them away like tissues it’s not such a bad thing to be wanted.

Really? I’d be really mad and not want to work there anymore if my boss prevented my from making a vertical career move at another company (which could never happen in 95% of all industries).

A “vertical move” to a company that doesn’t give a crap about you and throws you away in a couple years really isn’t vertical.

Corporate America is brutal. There’s something to be said for a boss who places great value on you. They can make your quality of life much better.

Surprised La Canfora is putting his name on this rumor.

My BS siren is going off....

Yeah but my current company could do the same thing (and did exactly that to most of my friends a couple years back). My boss wouldn’t be able to stop it.

I get what you’re saying, but I don’t think the two situations are comparable, much like most comparisons between sports and the average workplace.

  1. Yes, corporate America can be brutal.
  2. Yes, having a good boss that values you can be a nice experience and good for the career.
  3. #2 is often short-lived due to #1 above.
  4. Any boss that truly values you will be happy for you if you get a promotion somewhere else that you are ready for. Sad to see you leave, but ultimately happy for you.
  5. Employees that accept counter offers to stay are much more likely to leave within the next two years of accepting one, for a host of reasons that nobody on a football board cares enough about to read. In short, counter-offers are a high risk, low-effectiveness recruitment tactic.

Good for him. If we are stuck with Brady for another season we might as well be stuck with Josh too.
In the words of Huey Lewis, "I'm so happy to be stuck with you."

So the McDaniels is a d!ck legend will be sure to grow.

Are people still talking about this fake news? Really?
