It was a verified NYT tweet that linked to a verified Rapoport tweet that said they had agreed but it was dated August this year (that's the part I missed).

And it linked to this NYT story dated 8/5/19, but apparently an agreement that was never signed. Tom Brady, 42, Signs Two-Year Contract Extension
