I love Drew Brees....couldn't be anyone more deserving.

The total TD record doesn't matter to me as much as the single season TD record of 55 though....I'd like to see Brady break that before he retires, but that's doubtful though....

When ever I read something about Brees, I see the words humble, kind, great person , great team mate etc and I see many of the same words used to describe Brady. They are both great people, I don't think the same can be said for Peyton. I have never heard those words used to describe him except some media people who want to fawn over him. Always said if we didn't have Brady, the next QB I would want would be Drew Brees. Happy he took another record from Manning !

Let's not forget that Brees was out for several weeks, so Brady had several head start games. It is what it is. If he wants to put up big number again he may want to go elsewhere. Team priority supersedes individual glory here in New England. In this passing league, everything will eventually be broken.

While no one but Brees knows that for sure I think we can all safely assume he does care more about a super bowl.

That being said he also wants his stats and the records very badly. I would argue even if he knew for sure he'd never win another super bowl he would play to keep padding those stats so Brady or anyone else won't break them for years to come.

Seeing how much he celebrates every time he breaks a record and the pure elation he feels gives me a leg to stand on here imo.

Drew Brees is a stat padder who throws at least 3 TDs a game so I never expected Brady to hold this record nor do I care but with Brees early season injury its a shame our offense is so anemic Brady couldn’t hold this record for at least a week. There’s a chance he holds for one day saturday lol and then nevermore, Brees will keep tossing multiple TDs per game, it’s how they operate and they have the players for that.
