The fact he said Patriots accept all responsibility are you kidding me.
Time for a new owner

That's not what Kraft said.

Details matter. He said that they accept responsibility for the actions "of our production crew".

Bill said pointing the camera at the sideline was inappropriate. The key was whether they were focusing on signals after the 15 second to go period. If they were, the price is going to be stratospheric. If it was just background filming, they could survive. The report about filming for a quarter is worrisome though - sounds long for innocent filming. Of all the effing stupid things to do. Convincing people Bill’s fingers were not on this is going to be near impossible

So why specifically did they choose the Bengals to do this against? Why not do it against someone else?

A film about “do your job” and the film crew doesn’t know what the F*** they’re doing, irony...
Its been that type of season. Everyone is struggling

Well I guess we can now all enjoy the headline “Patriots admit to illegally taping the Bengals sideline.”

Jesus ****ing Christ.

Hate to say it, but if there is anything nefarious in that footage, my guess would be that this time, Belichick will pay the price and McDaniels may be coaching the team over the final weeks and into the postseason.

Really hoping that this is being overblown and that this simply is as innocent as the team appears to be trying to say it is. If not...I don't have a good feeling at all when it comes to how it might play out and this could be really, really ugly.

I'm sorry to all my fellow Pats fans

Well, you enjoy.
I'm not a cheater.
...And I'm not F'n stupid.

These clowns are an embarrassment.
Are you going to sit there and condone this stupidity again?

They are cheating!!!
They broke the F' n rules.. AGAIN.
Are you good with that.? ************, these guy are beyond stupid.
Ignorance is no excuse at this point.

You don’t deserve this team. I suggest you find a good soccer team, seems more your speed.

Let’s just slow down here.

No, we have no idea where this will go. But we’re jumping the wagon already assuming this’ll be another catastrophic scandal already.

Sweet!!! This is just what the team needs, some ******** by the league to rally around. Sanctions on the Pat's just means a superbowl win or at least an appearance

Not a great thought Ian. Nothing to do but wait and see.

Love how NBC is rolling with Brady's pic for this story.

The video will reveal the truth. If they merely recorded some B-roll footage of the field to catch the action or crowd shots it's not a big deal. That's typical TV production and some third party contractor may not have been aware of the rule.

But...if they were focusing the camera on the Bengals sideline or zooming in on the coaches calling in signals then they're screwed. There would be no plausible excuse and it would show a direct connection to the football operation. Who else would it be for?
It doesn't matter. They did it.
See: Spygate, Deflategate.
We get no pass anymore.

Might as well get "Cheater" tattooed on my F'n forehead

It's over.
Cheaters for life.
Done.

F'n idiots.
I'm embarrassed.

These Bastards used us

Why would the film crew doing a puff piece on some random scout finish up and then stick around for the explicit purpose of filming the Bengals sideline for an entire quarter until being thrown out if there was nothing nefarious going on? They decide to just do it themselves or, far more plausibly, was this whole thing a front to just give the team plausible deniability if they ended up getting caught.
I have always thought Belichick was honest and honorable. He might take things to the line, but not over it. But if they were filming like is alleged - it is Bill and not Kraft - and I am going to be very disappointed.

Whoever that scout was should have told the crew to stop filming the field...it would have taken him 5 seconds. A bunch of dumb interns not knowing the rules I can understand. But a scout?

So you think it can go from "honorable" to staging a "Do your job" series and then using that to specifically get hand signals that you can't possibly use against the 1 win Bengals?

Agreed. I think it depends what they meant by filmed inappropriately. The tape will tell us the story.
If they’re filming signals... not good.

Excellent point.

Some of the posts in this thread are a remarkable study in mental illness.

The whole idea is kinda awkward. Was the ideal plan to do a story on the scout without actually showing any of what he was scouting?

What would you film the sidelines for when they use radio signals?
