Nice strip by Sherman, but I just don't understand how Jackson fools the lineman so much on virtually every single play. At this point, I would coach up the d-linemen to just assume Jackson has the ball every single time. Stop buying the read-option fake.

He's pretty good at the mesh point, at disguising and hiding whether he still has the ball or not. It's a very underrated part of his game and he works hard at it.

I should clarify: KVN, HT, and Collins will be on the line, or very close to it, but all other backers would be on the bench. I would basically leave the flat open, and take my poison there.

Was out running errands with the 49ers game on the radio. While play-by-play guy Greg Papa was talking, his color partner suddenly yells, "You got a big mouth! Shut up!" After an awkward 30 seconds, he apologized as apparently there was a Ravens fan mouthing off to their booth.

Someone was telling me that he didn't think Foles was actually back up to 100%. He didn't tell me whether he meant physically or back up to game conditions, but it sounds as if you're seeing the same thing.
