Jerry Jones explains special teams value

Its the holidays.....I'm anti Grinch.

Maybe I'll go pick on Deus or something...

There ya go! Baby steps, start with something easy but nonetheless contempt worthy and get yourself warmed up. That's the ticket.

My pleasure, I’ll be here all week! I know you are a big fan of irony - What was the post you had the other day about trolling so hard if the Pats signed AB? :D
I’ll troll people either way. I’ll troll with you ease 24/7. But Jerry Jones ain’t my kind of owner. I don’t it like when owners decide to get involved in the football operations too heavily. You, on the other hand? You seem to be a big fan. Maybe the next time you decide to take a sabbatical from here for a couple of months after a tough loss, you can try jumping on that bandwagon. That’s an owner that’s perfected interfering with football operations while Kraft is only beginning to dip his toe back in.

Such a powerful man, trolling on the internet! :p
(Just curious about “I’ll troll you with ease 24/7”. Is that some sort hard fought achievement for you? If so, carry on bravely, courageous soldier!)

(Actually I enjoy the back and forth with you.)

RKK is the anti Jerry and it’s obvious. Some would say he never would have given in to Cameragate or Deflategate. But the master-slave relationship Jones has with Garrett is as diametrically opposite to that of Kraft - Belichick as their respective organization records over the past quarter century.

When it comes to on field results - - We are blessed!

He has been. He wasn’t when he first got here and he just reportedly made the decision on Brown himself. Combined with his age and how many, uh, situations, he’s found himself in since Spygate broke, those don’t seem like good signs for things to come. I want Kraft to sit back and enjoy the games. Kraft stuck his nose in on the football operations side and there’s been nothing reported to dispute that. There’s been no behavior from the guy he cut (such as insulting BB on social media) to dispute that. You loved that move. That’s fine. That’s why the post was so hilariously ironic. The knock on Jerry is that he interferes too much with the football operations. You liked it when Kraft did it and you’ll probably like it when Kraft eventually does it again. Therefore, Jones seems to be more your speed as an owner. Not mine.

Will agree to disagree.

If you you think Bob Kraft is ANYWHERE NEAR the meddling owner that Jerry Jones is, then God Bless Ya!!!!!! :p:p:p

I hope JJ retains the GM for years to come. Guaranteed ineptitude and overconfidence galore.

Honestly? If you had told me at the start what he'd be like as a GM I'd expect a Washington-esque ****show year in and year out.

Special Teams is the ticket to the gloryhole.

He isn’t. The problem is that, after seemingly learning his lesson after hiring BB and sitting back for years while BB ran the show, he meddled. Those of us against an owner meddling have cited that as one of the biggest reasons why we are, and have been, critical. Therefore, you saying that Jerry is the right owner for us is comically ironic. You liked Kraft meddling. You’ve supported Kraft meddling. You’ve made hundreds of posts since Brown was released supporting the meddling. The meddling owner seems to be much more up your alley than our’s.

Kraft's few instances of meddling have nothing to do with him having an over-bloated estimation of his own football knowledge. That's Jerry, all day long.

Kraft seemingly wants to meddle only when he's convinced that a low-character person will taint the reputation of his multi-billion dollar franchise. And I don't believe that Kraft meddled to trade JG when (supposedly) BB wanted him to succeed TB12.

If this was all there was to it, someone else would have signed Brown. But in fact, no one has.

This should be the most disliked post in forum history.
We once had a whole thread, in 2008, where people were honestly arguing that Matt Cassel should remain as starting QB, after TB12 rehabbed his ACL tear.

Pending legal action. The Pats already had him under contract and should have forced the league’s hand to put him on the exempt list. They didn’t even wait. But let’s not pretend like this had everything to do with Brown and nothing to do with Kraft. Kraft merely didn’t like his own little $13 tuggy case being brought up. And nothing that you’re saying here disputes the reports that he directly meddled in the football operations side of the team. I’m to assume that you support that sort of thing as well?

I don't support Kraft meddling, but I'm dubious he did. I expect he and Belichick talked it over. I think if Belichick seriously objected, he'd be out of here.

BB would be in violation of his contract if that were the case and probably wouldn’t leave after just one instance. He doesn’t seem like a quitter. And, again, there is nothing to dispute that Kraft made that decision. If BB had anything to do with it, Brown isn’t the type of guy to hold back on social media. He’d have gotten verbally blasted, too. But in this case it is just Kraft that he blasted. You’re welcome to offer up more reasons for why that would be the case. I’ve asked that question multiple times and have yet to get anything that makes logical sense as an answer. So yeah... you’re good with a meddling owner as long as it’s something you want.

Joe Judge approached him about a job in 2003

For any of us who have been frustrated at Belichick's insistence on devoting such a chunk of the roster to special teams "aces,"

Who in their right mind is frustrated with consistently building a solid special teams unit ????
