Although I agree with how that works out at the top. :)

I just have one thing to say.

Tony Dungy?!?!?

Joe Gibbs years of service dont match reality

I think the game is to just pick ONE coach as the all-time team. Not a top 10. I think BB would be at least a top-three contender, depending on how much reverence goes the big names that haven't been active for 40 years.

Hopefully it is Belichick ...
Bill would probably vote for Curly I think.

Its absurd Dungy is on this list.

This is the real list. Give any of these coaches a great team and they'd win SBs. Give them the worst team and they'd build a champion.

I think it was Bum Phillips who was talking about Bear Bryant who said, "Bryant can take his'n and beat your'n, and then he can turn around and take your'n and beat his'n."

That applies to all of these guys.

Bill Belichick (1991-1995; 2000-current)
Paul Brown (1946-1962; 1968-1975)

Joe Gibbs (1954-1973)

Vince Lombardi (1959-1967; 1969)
Chuck Noll (1969-1991)
Bill Parcells (1983-1990; 1993-1999; 2003-2006)
Don Shula (1963-1995)

Bill Walsh (1979-1988)

Joe Gibbs was the 20th and 26th head coach in the history of the Washington Redskins (1981–1992, 2004–2007)

top five are BB, Paul Brown, Vince Lombardi, Don Shula, and Tom Landry

Bill Walsh is a contender but his career was way shorter than these guys.

I think the NFL added Dungy because it doesn't want to look bad having only one other minority coach on the list (Fritz Pollard).

The only guys that can even be considered for number one other than BB would be Landry, Lombardi, and Brown

I can't believe they left Wrecks Ryan off the list.

Dungy is on the list cause in today’s climate you can’t have a list of only old white guys.

In Dungy’s defense... there are all those banners in Indy.

Participation counts !

That or he's there to appease people who would be angry at a lack of coaches who helped drive their sons to suicide over homosexuality.

That's a great quote.

That's a really solid list. I can see Parcells being swapped out for another guy from way back in the past maybe?

Weeb Ewbank was a tough cut. Built those 50s Johnny U teams and the 68 Jets into a winner.

In hindsight I'd probably put him back on.
