N'Keal Harry's Production

Patterson's motion specifically exposed defensive schemes in a way that other receivers don't because of that jet sweep threat. Harry's strongest trait in college was his YAC ability, and he's got Patterson's massive size.

Film Review: Inside the Patriots' Usage of Jets Sweeps & Cordarrelle Patterson | CLNS Media
His yac is absolutely up there for strengths but his calling card is contested catches/explosive plays (16-20+)
He's actually not far off from Patterson as an athlete. CP was more explosive & that's my biggest question w Harry.

The 50/50 balls, back shoulder/walking 1st down should translate but curious about his quickness. He definitely has sneaky quicks but those screens they ran, sweeps, return highlights where he's running east/west scares me a little. Have to see that but I still really like the pick even if its WR Rd1.

Production is huge for WRs in/coming out & Harry performed well every year w a less then talented one at ASU.

I totally agree. The east/west running you can see on some of the plays would not only go nowhere against NFL speed but would actually be dangerous.

All harry really has to do is give us what gordon gave us or better which is 50% catch rate, 1 TD and about 200yards the rest of the way. that should be easy for a first round rookie receiver...hopefully he surpasses it

Some of you guys listen to Merloni who hasnt got a clue, he'll be out there and productive Sunday.

Lou Merloni was wicked smaht until he moved out of Framingham. Now he's Mr. Fancy-pants Know-It-All from the South Shore with his windmills and solar panels and electric cars.

Reiss' " bold prediction" for this game was a rz td for Harry on a fade.
Funny, that's what I'd been thinking.
3 or 4 catches plus the TD. I'd be ecstatic with that in his 1st game.

Same. I've been looking forward to see him play. I hope they get him involved early.

If he gets like 5-6 attempts, that would be because the pats are struggling. This O rubs through Jules and White. Sanu is next and Harry is way down the list.

That’s an exceptionally terrible take on what Brady said. Maybe he doesn’t, but nothing like that came through in that quote. Just that Harry is behind where other guys are that have been there the entire time. No ****. He’s a rookie and he’s missed half the season. Brady also doesn’t want unfair expectations placed on Harry, which pretty much most of this board is (and has been) doing since Brown and Gordon have been let go.

I can imagine many scenarios where Harry gets 5-6 targets during a productive offensive performance.

Red zone!

"If he gets 5-6 Pats are struggling?"That's bs Nostradamus.
Of course je,white and Sanu are the top options. Duh.
But Harry runs different routes than all 3 of those. Though je does run some outside routes. Harry's routes will most closely resemble Gordon's. So he brings something different to the table. 5-6 targets is very reasonable.

On the first drive Brady will throw to Harry on a comeback route that they planned for 20ish yards...he'll break a tackle. If he catches it...then he'll have 3-4 more for about 5-10 yards each. He'll end up with 4 receptions on 6 targets for 45 yards.

Why wouldn't we target our 6'2/225, big bodied/physical 1st Rd WR when we it's clear we need someone to step up from that group?

Just curious?

Because he hasn't done jack feckin sh!t?
He's been hurt = we shouldn't target him?

I love getting people fired up but c'mon don't be a burper. Nothing wrong w questioning Bill once & a while but this **** gets old.
