Gordon released - Claimed By Seahawks.

Gordon is not going to change and he is on the decline of his career.

Its a matter of time before something bad happens in Seattle.

The difference between Sanu and Gordon is night and day. After only 2 weeks, Sanu had a monster game. Thus far Sanu has injected new life into the NE passing game. Gordon was a go through the motions flat liner.

I think Sanu is a better choice for Brady with our current O-line issues.

For only being 28 he seems to have lost his mojo.

He strikes me as the sort of person who gets a wake-up call, responds well for 6-18 months and then starts gravitating back to old habits. So he'll probably do well there and then people with an agenda will try to say it was a failing of the NEP coaching staff and/or system but the reality is I just think he probably is who he is and his time here had come to an end.

Loved him when he was here too bad it just didn't click this year.

He works for the teams website and he’s been there for 20+ years. He obviously can’t report things that go on but he will usually drop hints or vague statements that will lead you to believe he has heard something from someone in the know.

How did a guy who spends a considerable amount of his time tweeting about how jealous poor people are of rich people become a trusted Patriots insider? I've never once seen him tweet about football in the sidebar here.

Lol what? Fred is pretty liberal so unless there was some sort of sarcasm I doubt he is posting some sort of high handed nonsense on Twitter. I wouldn’t necessarily call him an “insider” since he can’t really report on anything he hears. It’s more of a follow the breadcrumbs thing with him.

I suspect Seattle will be very happy with the pickup and many on this board (myself included) will lament his release.

I was never his biggest fan but I think this is kind of a reach by NESN.

“Seems like in this part of my career, I’m trending upwards in quarterbacks,” Gordon told host and longtime NFL reporter John Clayton.

I don't think it is a reach. I think Brady gave his blessing for Gordon's trade. I noticed Brady did post any of his usual Instagram support or even comment on his departure.

Agree. Fred doesn't do hot takes. He's not an outside reporter....he's employed by the Patriots. "something happened"...what that tells me is...Josh was spoken to more then once about not being focused enough and their was a last straw that decided this action. I don't believe their was a big incident...just a final warning that was not heeded.

Nobody is asking Brady's opinion when it comes to cutting or trading players. He is the QB and not more.

The insight given by Kraft on the AB signing tells me otherwise. It appears his opinion was considered. Gave his blessing may be a tad too strong but I don't believe Brady had any objections. Brady by most account pushed for Sanu's trade, when he was asked, he adeptly answered the question.
Reporter: “There was a report that you pushed for Mohamed Sanu behind the scenes."
Brady : “I think everybody liked Mohamed. So, yeah."
Tom Brady doesn’t deny that he pushed for Mohamed Sanu
Does this not suggest his opinion matters in some team decisions at this stage of his career?

The team has been trying to sign or trade for Sanu for 3 years now. He was the player they wanted but then settled for Hogan when the Falcons offered a bigger contract. Suggesting Brady had any substantial impact on that is ludicrous.

Hell, Lombardi even reported they tried to trade for Sanu before the draft this year.

The text message between him and Kraft about AB appears way more like a rhetorical question. If BB wants to sign someone he will not ask Brady if he is fine with it. Even if he has some personal reservations Brady better try his best to make it work.

Lightning rod players like AB I wouldn't be surprised if Bill/Caserio asked Brady and other team leaders their feelings on bringing them in on more of a "will you guys be able to manage him in the locker room?" level. As far as personnel moves with no/less baggage, I would be very, very surprised if they were calling Brady for approval.

So opinion considered is substituted for substantial and then labeled ludicrous. I understand your position, but I think in some cases, his opinion is taken into account.

I wish Gordon all the best and hope he can keep himself clean even after Football. That said I lament on how we let Demaryius Thomas go the way we did he could have helped this Team instead he's wasting his talents on the Jets.

He's not wrong. Facts are Facts.
He is absolutely wrong, IMO. The lauding of Russell Wilson by the MNF crew was so over-the-top the other night it was laughable.

Good looking, intelligent, athletic, personable people named Wilson deserve praise.
