The thing that sucked so much about this game is that the Patriots had the momentum until Edelman fumbled it. After that, the Ravens never looked back.

Yup, turnovers change games.
Also it hurt us not scoring a TD at the end of the first half.

My main concern is the red zone offense, it’s just not good enough.

i think this is where Harry could make a difference. He’s big and at the very least can draw coverage. Why not chuck a ball or two up and see if he can pull it down?

The OL.

Sure it's always great to have on of the best TE's of all time, but that's not what we should expect form our TE's. IMO, not having Develin (the best Fb in the league last year) hurts more than the lack of blocking from the TE position.

Consider what we're missing on the OL and blockers
Our starting LT has been out, replaced by the worse LT starter in the NFL.
Our center is out for the season.
Our RG has been injured.
We have no FB.

What's hurting the run game more, the o-line or the TE situation? Genuinely asking, as I'm not knowledgeable enough to make such a diagnosis.

If I went with gut, I might say TE? Seemed like when we started using Gronk as a blocker more last season, specifically towards the end of the season, our run game really shined. But there may be regular season production I'm forgetting.

watson and mahomes coming up...

as good as they are, they are not Jackson running the ball. Also, Mahomes is going to be pretty immobile as he will be playing with a knee brace rest of the way most likely.

I expect the Patriots to come out and destroy the Eagles in 2 weeks. Bill is going to tear into this team over the next 2 weeks.

I say it’s time to sign Mahomes! :p
We need a QB that can run for his life behind our current o-line.

Great time for the bye. I’m looking forward to them playing Wentz, Watson, Prescott, and Allen (again). Despite the Ravens success last night I believe Belichick built this defense for exactly these kinds of challenges, as opposed to playing pocket passers.

When I pondered yesterday’s loss I honestly think our self inflicted wounds did us in more than the Ravens. I truly feel the turning point was Edelman’s fumble that let them go up 24-13 instead of us possibly going up 20-17 on that drive.

Hundred percent. Even though the offense drove down the field and scored a td on the following drive if I remember correctly, they still were playing from behind. Would of been nice to see them play with a lead and see what happens.

Yeah, there were some interesting plays in the margins that helped propel Baltimore along. The refs overlooked a blatant false start and handed Balt 4 free points. Guy strips the ball from another defender who was going to walk in for the TD. White trips on his way to the EZ.

Even with Baltimore giving NE their best shot, it could very easily have been 21-13 NE at the half. So long as Wynn comes back, another receiver proves viable and Baltimore doesn't get a bye beforehand, I feel good about NE's chances in a rematch.

Guys, BB is just trying to get Lamar the Flacco contract, thus keeping the Ravens out of our hair for the foreseeable future. Chess while checkers.

If you would have told me in September that the Pats would be 8-1 heading into their bye week, I would have been thrilled. We'll be fine; and N'Keal/Wynn returning will be huge additions.

Eagles, Cowboys, Texans, Chiefs upcoming. Really hoping for 3-1 here (or 4-0 ;)) to stay on course for the #1 seed

I dont care if a player has been with the team for 100 years, the penalties were inexcusable. The fumble by Edelman was unacceptable, cant cough up the ball in that situation. Tom needs to play better and he needs to stop throwing to no one and getting to the point where you have to throw it away. We had to play perfect after being down 17-0 early and they could not get it done. I really hope we see this ravens team again and at home, now there is film to review on how we match up with them. This game should be a wakeup call to every player on the team.
Officiating was an issue in this game.

So do the Boys get a few days off with the Family any practices this week?? Would love Harry and Brady get close like Brady and Sanu.

Yeah, hard to argue with a 14-point swing in a 17-point game. :(

The absence of Chung after he apparently left the game after 27 snaps and never came back is something to keep an eye on.

I don't think we will get a injury report this week but Chung will be among the first things to look for when the players come back to practice from the BYE.
