Um. .if they lose to Philly and KC then the 1 seed is very much in jeopardy. Especially since they would need KC & Baltimore to lose at least one and two more games respectively.
Do you walk around waiting for these “scared schittless” thoughts to come to you so you can come here and not be convinced by posters who aren’t scared schittless? Asking for a friend.

Patriots are taking a lot of slack for playing an easy schedule.

The Bills strength of victory is .176. That’s 100 points less than ours. Their schedule coming up is tough too.

Worried is not the right word but I’m much more worried about BAL and the 1 seed than I am about BUF. Would have loved to trade that loss for a loss bs an NFC team.

Agreed. Ravens have a stretch after next week of Texans/at Rams/49ers which should produce another loss, and there can always be another hiccup in there somewhere. But since the Pats lose the tiebreaker it would be good to finish no worse than 14-2.

I mean, that’s ALWAYS good but you know.

Live in New England as Bills fan....... it's been painful seeing I had no luxury of living here in the 90's only since 2000. Imagine being a pats fan in buffalo in the 90's and then adding another 10yrs to it....

that said, so long as the hood is at the helm up there, the greatest defensive mind currently in football will be a problem for even a decently coached opponent like Buffalo.

I have enjoyed the Pats/Bills games with our new coach because it's become old school smashmouth complete football games to win the game (blocked punt, most recently).

I'd like to obviously see the Bills win if they have the best chance at representing the division but if the Pats are the better suitor for that, I hope the Bills don't beat them on a fluke and then Bengals the playoff game.

No bills fan with a level of realism or sanity expected 6-2, even if they said it let alone being a blocked punt from competing with GOATSNE. Bills team is young, couple years away from being really competitive against GOATSNE, the question I have is if Bills have the 2nd best coaching staff in the league?

Second best in the division for sure by a wide margin..I think Reid is the second best in the league and on his way to Canton.

I'm not overly concerned with Buffalo. I think we go 14-2, or 13-3 at worst. 15-1 may even still happen if we can get hot and start blocking for Brady and the RBs. Looking at the Bills schedule, they have what I'd consider 3-4 challenging games left. They have a tough 4-game stretch where they go to Dallas, host Baltimore, visit Pittsburgh and then visit New England. If they even won 3 of those games I'd be surprised. Assuming they win all their other games and split those four, they'll be 12-4. Let's say one of those wins in that tough 4-game stretch is against us. The Patriots would have to lose two more games PLUS the Buffalo game. All of those factors seem like a longshot at best. I think the Bills finish 11-5 and the Patriots most likely 14-2. Do you see the Bills coming into Foxborough in December and winning? With Josh Allen as their QB? Seems highly unlikely. I think the division is safe. I still don't even see serious competition for the 1st overall seed. I know the Ravens beat us but I think they'll finish at least one game behind. They've already lost twice and still have Houston, the Rams and the 49ers on their schedule. Not to mention Pittsburgh usually gives them fits and they will play the Browns again who already beat them. I would be extremely surprised if the Patriots not only didn't win the division, but didn't get the #1 seed.

The funny thing is, let's say Baltimore gets the #1 seed. I don't see it happening but for argument's sake let's say they finish 13-3 and so do the Patriots. Couldn't you see someone like Kansas City or Houston going into Baltimore and winning in the playoffs? Last year I was sure they'd beat the Chargers and I was wrong. I sure don't assume a bye for Baltimore doesn't equal a divisional loss. Plus I would not be intimidated going in there for the AFCCG. Arrowhead was way more intimidating last year and the Pats won. Brady has won 2 AFCCG in Pittsburgh and the one in KC. Baltimore won't scare them. NE would be SUPER motivated to get payback if they got Baltimore in the AFCCG, whether in BAL or at Gillette. Just like '04 against Pittsburgh.

The Patriots will face stiff competition from the Eagles, Cowboys, Texans, Chiefs,
and Buffalo. I hope the Bennett trade doesn't come back and bite them in the ass.

Buffalo can run the ball, the Patriots can't...the Patriots have a statistically worse run defense and have been completely gashed on the ground the last two game...Buffalo has a 74 year old running back who ran for 6 yards a pop and 100+ yards vs the Patriots...to win in December and January, you need to be able to run the ball and stop the run, and right now Buffalo does both of those better than the Patriots.
Is Buffalo a threat? Sure, why not...they have some tough games - at Dal, Bal at home, at Pit and at NE...but so do the Patriots, who have a gauntlet the next 4 games...It's not totally crazy to think Buffalo could be 11-3 or 10-4 coming into Foxboro only one game behind. If Buffalo wins and they end up tied it could get really crazy with tie breakers...

So week 14, Ravens @ Bills . . . who do we want to win?:eek:

Ok, when I clicked on this thread I thought it was going to be a link to a Buffalo Bills message board thread where we would all laugh hysterically over their hilarious predictions that Buffalo was going to win the division. Then I saw a Patriots fan posted it as a legitimate topic of conversation. I know it's the bye week, but C'Mon man!

The Bills' remaining schedule with what I think they will win/lose PLUS winning in Foxboro:

@CLE - W
MIA - W
DEN - W
@DAL - L
BAL - L
@PIT - W
@NEP - W
NYJ - W

That is a 12-4 finish.

Meaning the Pats need to finish 4-3 including losing to the Bills.

Of the Pats remaining schedule...I think we at minimum split the next 4....and beat Miami/Cincinnati....and if we lose to the Bills...could still come down to a tie-breaker....

Bottom line: We need to win vs. HOU and KC to keep our conference record %-age as high as possible.

Vegas has this at like 95%+ for Patriots. Go with the objective view of people whose livelihoods are on the line.

Hmm..may have to wait and see after these next few weeks. Another game to keep an eye on is Texans @ Ravens in week 11, which could have all sorts of implications. As it stands would like to see Texans win that one to give both teams atleast 3 losses

Good question. Yeah I don't know the answer. Maybe by preparing myself for the worst it doesn't hurt as bad once it actually happens.

I do think the Patriots will ultimately win this division. But Buffalo is only one game back in the loss column. Pats hold the tiebreaker for now.

Is anyone legitimately concerned that the Bills could possibly win this division?
No.

Pats are obviously better off beating both. But I think they benefit more by beating KC & losing to the Texans. Rather than vice versa.

Only way the Williams take the division is catastrophic Patriots injury(s).
Bills lose in Foxboro enabling us to lose 2 more games assuming Bills only loss is to us.
That's. Not. Gonna. Happen.

I don't see how anyone can witness the Bills eeking out tight, late-contested, and (in many cases) luck-driven wins over the likes of the Jets, Bengals, Titans, and Dolphins and be convinced that they are a serious threat.
