On to the Browns!

I never thought at this point that my favorite pro team would have 2 less losses than my college team.

The Puppies and Kittens come to town for an ugly massacre. Below an excerpt from a Browns forum...

Cleveland Browns: 5 Bold Predictions vs. Patriots

Running back Nick Chubb has without a doubt been the Browns best player on offense this year, but Odell Beckham Jr. is probably the most talented. New England do have the cornerback playing the best right now,Stephen Gilmore. So the Beckham problem may be solved like that.

On defense Cleveland will have to stop the run and put pressure on Tom Brady. The Patriots offense has not been great but the game won’t turn into a shootout because of their defense.

Coming off of a bye week the Browns should be healthy for the most part and a win could completely turn their season around.

5. Nick Chubb will Show a Flaw in Patriots Defense
4. Myles Garrett will Sack Tom Brady Twice
3. Cleveland will Hold New England Under 21 Points
2. Baker Mayfield Will be Seeing Ghosts
1. Freddie Kitchens Will get Schooled, But in a Good Way

Even after the game we will not really know if Chubb will show flaws in Patriot's defense. BB might let Chubb get yards. BB let Thurman Thomas get yards in a SuperBowl or he might shut Chubb down. My guess is no on #5 and I'll take over on #3. Looking forward to the game.

That was because the Bills' passing game was so good. Nothing about the Browns' passing attack to make us want to have them run.

We need our o line to play well against the browns.

This isn't news. Mason was limited this week and listed as questionable so obviously that says there is a chance he doesn't play. But Edelman was also limited and listed as questionable.

Reiss wasn't making any declaration of if Mason would play or not, just who probably would if he doesn't

It would be funny seeing Ferentz just for the bewildered reaction of a special captain around this board.

We need our O Line to play well against Foxboro High.
They have 1 purpose for their meager existence...protect the GOAT.

Yeah, I know. I just don’t want Ferentz anywhere near the starting line up.

The paragraph about the Urban-Bethel-4th Round Pick-Ravens dominos falling, and how the Pats had anticipated that, is just gold. That's a level of chess playing that's just stunning. Does any other team think that many moves ahead, and about special teams players? Wow.

This would be true if the quote were. "don't be surprised if it's Ferentz who steps in...." Reiss' wording, however, is referring to the likelihood that Mason misses the game.

and now we would need to discuss if this is because Mason is listed as questionable or if Reiss thinks he will miss the game.

To me, it sounds like Reiss thinks the odds are higher Mason sits than than the usual collection of questionables.

Reiss often drops his information this way. Unfortunately it looks like another OL out for this game. At 7-0 and the bye in two weeks hopefully we can get some of these guys healthier heading into the second half.

I know Eluemunor is more comfortable on the left side...but I’d rather see him at RG then Thanks Dad.

Over/under on Pats getting 6 sacks this game? With how Mayfield holds the ball to long anyway and playing against this secondary I’m going with the over.

No he wasn't

His exact quote was it won't be a surprise if four-year veteran James Ferentz is inserted into Mason's spot against the Browns.

And it won't be a suprise because Mason was limited in practice and listed as questionable, questionable designation means a 50/50 chance of playing.

So no Reiss wasn't saying Mason is out. He was merely saying who he thinks would step in if he is out
