Recently released Orlando Scandrick torching the Eagles this morning. Said he felt “scapegoated” and the problems were much deeper than him and they don’t believe what the team leaders are saying. He said he doesn’t believe a word Roseman says and that there is turmoil in the locker room and that he believes a lot of guys are still living off the Super Bowl win.

Malcolm Jenkins response:

Looks like Lane and the boys aren't having much fun anymore.

Really thought - preseason - that PHI would be a contender. I was wrong.

and yes, nice to see Lane’s idea of fun provide the laughs.

Looking at the Schedule early on I was worried about the Eagles but now and the way they have played. I think we are going to stomp them on both sides of the ball.

Peterson is in that Carroll mold. Locker room issues can happen with those player's coach, non confrontational guys. Same thing happened after the Seahawks won a few years back and they dissolved 90% of the core guys over the next few seasons. I wonder if Peterson has it in him to regroup or if he just caught lightning in a bottle.

Heck of a team in 2017. Also one of those clear “everything is meshing perfectly and everyone is having a career year, which will be impossible to repeat.” This is unsurprising. Pederson got full of himself with his ****y book and thought he was a genius, which he is not. The Eagles, like most teams, just get a really good season once in a while and are otherwise pretty mediocre.

I still think they should have kept Nick Foles. Wentz is something like 5-20 against teams with winning records and is always injured. The team clearly responded to Foles leadership and humility. Hats off to that dude for his consistently clutch performances. Bad move for the Eagles in losing Foles; bad move for Foles in going to a crap team (though Eagles forced his hand); bad move for Wentz in putting even more pressure on him as “the guy who needs to win a Super Bowl now”, or be second guessed forever as the guy they chose over their beloved Super Bowl hero and MVP.

Quite honestly, Wentz is most certainly a better talent; no question. However, Foles is better for that team. They just simply seem to respond to Foles.

Still living off the super bowl win you say? Thats a shocker coming from these winners!

Yea he likely would have been the MVP that year had he not got injured. That being said it looks like there was a decent portion of the locker room that wasn't on board with letting Foles go and that has lead to a cancer festering in the locker room.

as long as they’re still having fun....

Couldn't happen to a nicer team and fan base.

Regards,
Chris

Funny thing is, they never should have won that SB anyways. Refs helped them a ton so it isn’t even like they dominated. It was a joke of a SB up there with 42 and the Tyree play o line holding.

The could be a 3-6 team when we meet them.

I don't see them winning in BUF and CHI also has a pretty good defense.

OMG, the Eagles just put this out!!!!! I cannot stop laughing!!!!!!!

I know..I get it. They deserve some props for being champs and beating us. yes

But they stole our first number 6, and robbed us of a repeat and a three peat.. (4 peat?)

grrrrrrrrr.......

I don't like them anymore for that. (and they used to be my second team. I adopted them the year Grogan broke his leg, because I wanted a rooting interest. I picked them because they were in the NFC and I was 13 and thought the literal bird eagles were cool and because of Boston College.

Then they went on a tear and made the Super Bowl, so my young self started and held on to a fondness of them and their uniforms all the way until SB 51 ( I would have rooted for them in any SB they were playing against any other team)

Now I have disowned them.

Damn.

3 straight games against the Buffalo, Chicago and New England Defenses????????

Wentz may go into the Witness Protection Program.......

Yet everyone makes fun of me when I say the Bills are going to force us to go 16-0

I think the Bills might be our best chance to go 16-0. Because they make us need to get to 15-0... and why would we bother losing the last one at that point?

Just sayin

Usually teams that lose the super Bowl have trouble getting back to the playoffs the next year. Patriots actually won their 6th Lombardi while the Eagles were one bad clunk-clunk no good field goal away from being one and done. Since the Eagles won SB 52, they have gone 13-12 while the Patriots have gone 21-5....
Eagles are living on Glory Days and it got old.....

I am enjoying the meltdown every which way....

Wentz is the guy who locked himself in a Jersey gas station bathroom.... You think that guy is leading you to a Super Bowl???
Rookie mistake: Wentz gets locked in bathroom

Maybe they can trade for Foles.....
