Prediction: Bennett comes back and plays increasingly well for us.

I agree

Positional depth can change so fast in this league. Remember training camp when we had too many wide receivers? Then we added Brown and had WAY too many wide receivers? Then we reached a point due to cuts and injuries where we were playing Gunner for 50 snaps? And now we have posters talking about cutting Gunner when Harry returns because (once again), we somehow have too many wide receivers?

As long as he doesn't actually clock Belichick across the jaw with brass knuckles, I'm for keeping Bennett for the stretch.

lets hope one of the bennett bros worked out?

It’s possible, sheard in 2016. I don’t think he was suspended but at least was a healthy scratch and he fixed things. Hope youre right!

Bennett coming through with the Adalius Thomas energy.

Not sure what to comment on.

Michael Bennett's predicted time with NE or my thoughts on group sex.

If you are unsure about how the Board members will lean on this one, I can help.

Yeah this threads title might change after that one...yikes.

He gone

Get rid of him. Get compensation. We don’t need him or his attitude to be honest.

Prediction: he’s gone by the end of tomorrow ;)

I’m not happy about this at all, pretty disappointed. But I have to laugh at those who basically called me an idiot for even suggesting that this was a possibility.

I feel like we've seen this story before. Some players rise to the occasion when put in their place by BB and some go all Adalius Thomas.

I have a gut feeling that Bennett is going to come back and play very well with the snaps he's given probably with the goal of showing the coaches how stupid they are to not give him more snaps. Taking his frustrations about his situation out on opposing players and maybe setting himself up for one more year with more snaps.

People were too quick to close the door on this relationship, I think, and Bennett strikes me as a sort of guy who is going to be on a mission.

I hope you’re right but this has shades of Adalius Thomas to me. He’s dead man walking. Remember this.....

"Motivation is for kindergartners. I'm not a kindergartner. Sending somebody home, that's like, 'You're expelled until you come back and make good grades.' Get that [bleep] out of here. It's ridiculous. … I don't know, teaching tool? I don't know. I can't figure out what Bill thinks or knows."
Patriots linebacker Adalius Thomas, on Boston.com, on being sent home for being late to a team meeting

"What do you do? It's not The Jetsons. I can't jump up and just fly. What the heck am I supposed to do?"
Thomas, on ESPNBoston.com, on being stuck in a snowstorm that made him late for a team meeting

There’s too much good stuff happening on this team and the D especially to let this douche ruin it. He’s my least favorite Bennett brother by far and that was before he was with the Pats.

If Shalise Young is still in journalism, maybe she will get off of her high high podium to interview Bennett like she did Thomas.

Note: I have NO IDEA if she is still a sports writer, I couldn't stand it a few years ago when she went off the rails and stopped following her.

If anything was going to humble a guy like that, it would be getting suspended and then watching the defense physically and psychologically destroy a QB in the next game. That should have been the wake up call: Hey, we like you, but you're one piece, not the whole f**king pie. But he seems to have taken it as a personal slight and nothing more. Too bad.

Your thread stinks and you stink. No offense.

PREDICTION: Bennett will be released and he will join a group sex club

Things don't look great for my prediction now, I'll grant you. Bennett did not come off as someone who came in here with something to prove he sounded like he was going to be a malcontent.

But I'm going to dig in and just keep believing I'll be right and then if I'm wrong I'll just delete the thread and never own up to it. Win/win.
