My favorite sports team: Our beloved NE Patriots
My second favorite team: My beloved St Louis Cardinals

So, at my favorite watering hole here in the Virginia Highland neighborhood of Atlanta, I'm notorious for showing up during football season wearing one of my Patriots jerseys. I almost got killed after 28-3 but it was so awesome and so worth it. I went through my collection tonight and showed up in my Bob Gibson 45 jersey. I was the only Cards fan and I was resoundingly booed and mocked by everyone. After the first inning I went home to watch the game. I couldn't bear to torture the most tortured fan base out there.Nothing will beat 28-3 but ten runs in the top of the first is a nice second.:D

That’s awesome man. I enjoyed that story got a good laugh

Is there a baseball thing happening or something? I'm out of the loop.

Great story, brother. I make a point of wearing my Patriots ball cap whenever I travel south of Boston. It's especially fun in NYC. :)

Mods enjoy hearing stories about torturing other fan bases...although they forget how many years pre-BB/Brady that we were tortured, so I have a little less sympathy for them ;)

Thank God for Bledsoe.

They should be a tough out for LA. They have 3 quality starters and can use Mikalas in a long relief role. If they can get the bats going, look out.

Cardinals are the Dodgers kryptonite. So far they’re up 3-0 on the Nationals in get 6th.

Agree with Ian, zero sympathy for the mods, especially considering their continuing failure to ban me

Glad I found this thread, if baseball is happening I might tune it in and get started on a good night's sleep.

I’m right with you with the pats and cards as my respective teams. I actually think the cards would be accepted on this board right now since the Sox are sitting at home.

Cards and Dodgers should be fun. Kind of feels like the Rays’ luck will run out if they move on, while the Astros would shake off this series and play better in the next round. Yankees look dangerous if their starting pitching can hold its own for 4-5 innings a game.

Edit: Assumed Dodgers won already based on the thread responses and I missed it lol..

And...

Nats go back to back off Clayton Keyshaw in the 8th, and it’s now a tie game!

Second was a twenty year old kid, Juan Soto. Remember that name. You’ll hear it a lot in coming years.

Kershaw is the biggest choker in sports history.

It's baseball. We won't.

Joe Kelly kills the Dodgers again - just like last year.

My Nats are going to take the Cardinals down...
