Antonio Brown

MODS: Please do not merge my thread into the ongoing Antonio Brown thread. This is new news, mainly about Tom Brady and his thoughts, and I cannot post in that thread.

Anyway, I'm curious, but are the people that dogpiled me for stating that I was unhappy the team cut Brown now going to condemn Brady?

Tom Brady wanted Antonio Brown to stay and was unhappy when Patriots cut receiver, per report
It has been discussed for several days in the main thread ... old news.

Taking stock of damage left by Antonio Brown

I can’t shake the feeling that he will be back...
Back in the NFL? Maybe. Back here? Not effin’ happening. There’s many reasons why, but that tweet is the big one.

I wish they hadn’t cut him yet. Especially if Belichick and Brady still wanted him that’s all that matters to me, **** the media. If they could deal with his off the field antics then that would be fine.

I don’t know how I feel about Brown anymore other than it gives me a headache to think about. I just wish Jonathan Kraft would take over the team and know they’re in good hands at the ownership level. When it comes to league issues and the Patriots, they always get bent over like willing fools. We know Kraft is a giant ****y who can’t handle any criticism or pressure from the league and his fellow owners. So it’s hard to tell if this was a “principled” decision or if Bob just couldn’t handle some negative PR.

I know the Chiefs have Tyreek Hill - and even extended him - and the Patriots do not have Antonio Brown. Hill’a threat was a much more vile one; Brown’s was not good but more ambiguous.

For me, Brown was dumb. He should NEVER have sent that text, and I will say he's a dumbass until the day I die. But cutting him for that didn't sit well with me. The Patriots know what's best for the team, and I would be a horrible executive (mainly because I'm a fan, and only care about the X's and O's), but I didn't like the move. I personally feel vindicated that Brady's thoughts were in line with mine.

Which in itself is BS, Curran reading between single spaced lines and as usual, of late, drawing an unsupportable conclusion. Some media people lose their fastball. I suspect ol Tom E didn't lose any heat off whatever little he once had but willingly surrendered it. Curran was never a breaking Pats news type but he used to be well sourced on the day to day stuff. Now he is in the 'taek' business, kinda sad.

Also agree with @IcyPatriot, hardly new or separate thread worthy info

If Bill tells him to shut it and he doesn’t, what is the line that we have to cut him?

If Brown is catching passes from Brady in 2019 as you claim, I will be more than happy to donate 100 dollars to your favorite charity. I will post proof on this site.

I thought it was possible, though frankly probably just wishful thinking, when I thought the only reason he was cut was that they found out he was going to be suspended and it was purely a financial consideration, but that seems excessively unlikely at this point.

I find it hard to believe she wasn’t. This klemko is a piece of work. He could have left it at that but he went out of his way to get that story published. A 6 page story.

Gonna be hard to finish up your degree at Central Michigan if you keep posting bruh

IF every report on this is true, and Kraft was behind this at the behest of BB and Brady, it's time for him to step aside. Not because of Brown in a vacuum, but because of a number of instances. Deflategate was one thing, but this would be openly defying Belichick on all matters regarding the team and going full Jerry Jones. If you want to lose Belichick, that’s the quickest way to do it.

Bedard claims that sponsors were threatening Kraft and that forced his hand.

more media click bait. Would Brady liked to have Brown's talent on the field, yes. Is he pissed he's gone considering Brown's behaviour, no. Another non-story.

Worst in season move ever.

It would’ve been nice if “Bend over Bob” was “enraged” when his Franchise QB was thrown under the bus for deflating balls.

By the way, who’s the creator of “Bend over Bob?”

If true, it’ll be interesting to hear what the “employers have no business caring about what their employees do” contingent on the board have to say. I’m also curious about what they’d do if clients/customers started pulling or threatening to pull business because of the employee.
