Okay so we are about 50 pages away from surpassing the Malcolm Butler thread. Its a lock to happen.

Eh, the Butler thread was locked. The numbers would’ve been way higher.

What was the reason for finally locking it? I don’t remember, but it must have been pretty good.

I believe the mods were just tired of the back and forth arguing between those pro-butler playing and those not. And I take some of the blame myself as I was one who was pro butler and voiced my issues.

Godwin’s law of patsfans - any thread becomes the butler thread if left open long enough.

The women shouldn’t be believed until they produce evidence that substantiates their claims. Men who have been on the dating scene with this generation for the last couple of decades know that. They’ll lie for personal gain just like any man would. They’re the accuser. The accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty. That’s how it works. If they produce evidence, then they should be believed.

That’s also to make zero mention of the amount of high profile rape/sexual assault accusations over the last decade that were proven to be false. Cutting him right now, with what we know currently, would be an absolutely brain dead, knee jerk reaction. Luckily, this franchise doesn’t make those. And Kraft lost the ability to get on his (wife’s) high horse over this when he got the $13 special at Orchids of Asia.

I disagree for women to come forth and show their vulnerability takes great courage, money is not the always the motivating factor. Keeping quiet is often a choice (for many reasons), current statistics showing that 1 in 16 (that sounds low) women's first sexual experience as rape it only validates my claim.

If there is a delay reporting any incident of sexual victimization, then most evidence will be erased.. how does she then produce evidence??

The first incident made me skeptical as money could have been a motivating issue, but as the allegations pile up my skepticism wanes..

We live in a society where women are sexually victimized by powerful men, their best defense is that it is a money making opportunity or the alleged perpetrators are some sort of "victims" and their subsequent denial. Then women are often victimized in the judicial process, so it is a slippery slope for them as well. Not sure many women want to go through the process that some of the recent women have gone through regarding powerful men, coupled with media investigations of their character and then using that as some sort of barometer of innocence or guilt of the alleged perp.

The comments on Kraft have nothing to do with this, but there are those who will focus forever on that stupid incident..

I don’t buy that. So these women were too ashamed/afraid/victimized to report what happened before but months, even years, later, they’re not? What changed? That’s a rhetorical question. As is usually the case, follow the money. That will lead you to your answer.

I also noticed you didn’t touch the part of my last post about all of the high profile rape/sexual assault accusations over the years that ended up being false. I wonder why that is? Shall I start firing off the examples? Duke Lacrosse, “A Rape on Campus,” Brian Banks, Hofstra, the Scottsboro Boys, Treva Thornberry, Kobe Bryant, Tawana Brawley. All famous examples that I can simply fire off the top of my head. All examples of why the women shouldn’t reflexively be believed until they produce something of substance. The fact of the matter is that accusations of rape are very hard to disprove. There are studies and a ton of data out there on it. You should be questioning motives in high profile cases such as this one where, seemingly out of the blue, the victim finally finds the balls to report it years later. Everyone should until it’s substantiated.

You’re letting your political leanings color your better judgement and giving into that instead of applying logic. That’s been a particular problem of Cancel Culture.

Yea I think I was a member of the guilty party.

Now, Bill Belichick or Josh Gordon? They both seem like good people despite their flaws
Curious.....what do u perceive as BB’s flaws?

He doesn’t play nice with the media which makes you sad?

For me, the guy is as close to perfect as it gets though he could shed a couple of pounds.

Yeah but if I remember you were on the pro BB side of things. Knowing a little more now I would prob be in agreement but at the time we had little info to go off of and I was admittedly pretty pissed at the whole situation (timing of it) and how it unfolded.

It was just a bad, bad, bad day.

As well they should.

And so should the contractors he owes, and any suits brought against him as a result of unpaid debts.

For someone in his financial position to not pay contractors for projects he had them complete is really unethical.

Do you know if they completed them to his satisfaction? Why weren't these events written down as a contract?
Again, stuff like this has to play out. My brother was a contractor and got stiffed enough of times in his 50 years in business to know that the parameters have to be written down or both sides are not happy. Who knows maybe he demands the same excellence and effort in his vendors that he gives to football. Or he could just be a jerk.

It was the usual sad story. The discussion got Andy'd, then devolved to Your Mom Big Gay and finally was getting repeatedly bumped just to push it over the top for highest post count. Not exactly our finest moment

Congratulations. We have invented a new kind of stupid.

Well, judging by those references it's obvious that we haven't "invented" anything. I wonder if people used cave drawings before pamphlets.

Still better than anything over at the Kc or Pitt messageboards.
