Bring in competition at Kicker.

There is a rumor out there that he needed some surgery on his hip in the
off season but put it off and now perhaps may have been better to get it fixed ...

Again ... a rumor FWIW.

I heard something similar, but it was his knee.

I don’t think it’s worth it to bring any competition in at this point, the time for that was camp. But he has stunk, as much as multiple posters believe it is sacrilege to bring up.
He stunk (or at least was below par) in the first 3 preseason games and this week. Week 4 of the preseason and last week he was good, and I thought had turned a corner with his new holder. Maybe it's just Miami, or he has an undisclosed injury, or maybe he just gets the yips once in a while. A little competition might have been nice during camp, but BB obviously thinks he's the best thing out there or it would have happened.

Also while we're at it this possible injury joins with the Jake Bailey selection.

What's Tony Franklin up to these days? He was clutch and saved the team a ton of dough on shoes.

Ghost and his misses will eventually cost us games, it’s time we bring in competition and maybe that will light a fire under him to perform better.
how bout the snapper or holder???????

I will say that if the injury rumors are true ...
It is surprising no players were brought in this summer.
Which gets back to how valid are the rumors because Belichick is no fool.
I do think Jake Bailey factors into all of this whether it be wear and tear or injury.

2 games...
and how many practice sessions? 50?

I think they work on holding and kicking every day, even no-pads days and walk-through days.

I don't think Bailey has taken a single kickoff yet. Even during blowouts. If there ever was a chance to give Ghost some rest it would be in a shutout game.

Feels like he is emergency depth.

Teach bailey how to kick. He has a strong leg, how hard can it be?

Carli lloyd she'd be some great pr deflection from brown.

Hell, Bozo the Clown could kick better than ghost at this point, even with his clown shoes.

Slow your roll there pal. It's tiresome to be called a pink hat and "sickening" just because I don't agree with you. If you think three missed kicks in a game is okay, more power to ya. I bet BB, for one, would disagree with you.

BB will disagree, but he also puts the blame where it belongs. Something you're incapable of doing. And you've shown that time and again. And then you whine and complain about people taking you to task because they show facts and not your kneejerk emotional BS reaction.

Everyone else is allowed competition except our kicker. It’s too late now, but during training camp. I’ve had this discussion before, they seem to think Ghost is to fragile for competition, it’ll hurt his ego. He’s a good kicker, no one better out there available, but what’s wrong giving him some competition during training camp. Our punters had to kick it out.

Gotta love when people make sh!t up. No one has said anything remotely close to what you claimed. You also seem to have a crap memory because Gost has had plenty of competition in camp previously. The one year he doesn't, the chicken-little brigade starts running around making asinine claims about him.

*ROFLMAO* This is a perfect example of someone talking out their rear end. Claiming that Gost "Stunk" in the first 3 pre-season games because he missed a FG in each one.

Since 2011, Gost has missed 7 FGs there. ALL of them 42 yards or more. You'd know that if you did 5 minutes of research before running your yap with hyperbole and garbage. But that's clearly asking too much of you.

Ok, I read your desperate call for attention.
