I know the definition of the word. Its application to human-created moral codes is completely accurate when describing how those moral codes originally came into being. They sprung from the whims of our ancestors.

Ok, so you need to take vocab lessons, too, since you don't actually "know the definition of the word".

Michael Felger says the Patriots owe AB a 5 million dollar signing bonus on September 23rd. Thinks they will release him before that day.

Morality is based on logical axioms, which are inherently arbitrary. I'm not sure why you've chosen to dispute this fact and I'm even more confused as to why your tact is so contentious in doing so.

So human morality isn't arbitrary in your opinion?
No, I responded thinking he was talking about the mensa member that posted the commentary and the videos of the accuser and AB.

My bad. I will take my penance now. 10 lashings I suspect will suffice.

I don't often agree with Deus but I am of like mind when it comes to my contempt for the driveby disagree. Unless a post is just egregious on it's face, my opinion has previously been stated or the poster has committed too many drivebys themselves to merit the courtesy of an explanation I don't hit disagree without explaining why. While I've seen you post enough drivebys to the point that you calling out anyone for a disagree strains credulity you have not done it so many times that I feel you don't merit an explanation should I tag one of your posts with a disagree. It's only polite after all and civility matters.

I am guilty of the "reaction driveby", no doubt. It's a habit I've been trying to break as I agree that it's unproductive, unhelpful, and really fails to understand the nuance involved in one's opinion. It's still something I do on occasion if I find a post particularly heinous, but generally I'm making an effort to reel it in. I need to be better at it moving forward.

I certainly apologize to some of the posters I've given a negative reaction to without explanation, and it's absolutely hypocritical for me to criticize other posters for the very action I've done prior. I appreciate the accountability.

Felger doesn't know anything about anything.

I've chosen to dispute the post, because someone doesn't understand the meaning of the word arbitrary, and that's a meaningful error in the context of the discussion. And you keep demonstrating that you have no understanding of the meaning of the word.

So, it there's confusion on your part, look to the dictionary.

That's nice circular reasoning, Snow67.

I don't desire to continue the discussion, and "mysogyny" being applied to the actions of human beings thousands of years ago is the sort of asininity that should be made a criminal offense, because it's so obviously stupid and manipulative.

And whether or not today is better than yesterday is not only subjective, but it's a variable dependent upon the "how" of better/worse.
1. The Judeo/Christian moral code was born with Abraham, about 3-4 thousand years ago. Granted, it has evolved.
2. One measure of the human situation improving over time: Global Extreme Poverty

I don't really take this stuff very seriously, so no worries.

Thanks for sharing this contextually useless information.

That would be something if we have him play the Dolphins and Jets game and then cut him right before Monday the 23rd. That would be the ultimate evil Belichick move. lol

Lol he is wearing his old unapproved helmet at practice.

Nothing like a good ol fashioned BB press conference

And nothing like the two town idiots trying to gaslight their audience over what BB said or didn't say:

That's nice circular reasoning, Snow67.

It's more that I acknowledge that humans are simply animals whose intelligence has evolved to the point where we can focus thought toward ideas such as morality and communicate those ideas to one another. Those thoughts aren't inherently meaningful, nor are the ideas.

Felger doesn't know anything about anything.

Felger thinks AB will sit out the next two games (Pending he's not put on the exempt list first), and then the team will likely cut him. Even if BB wants to keep AB, Kraft may not allow it.
