It's riskier than not having casual sex, but that can be said about tons of things. There are a hundred things any one of us will do today that we'd be a little safer if we didn't do them. Like eating a burger or something.
I was reacting to that "old fashioned" moral rectitude whose demise you were bemoaning. It was purely cosmetic, hiding slavery, rape, racism, mysogyny, genocide, and so on. Spare us the "good old days". They really weren't all that great for many. In the aggregate, we really are better off now than in the good old days.
Doesn’t mean they are to blame for bad things happening to them because of it.That was the other poster who talked about moral codes. I agreed with him that multiple sex partners and a culture of sexual freedom increase the likelihood of bad things happening.

I'd also bet that, whatever the baseline number is, it's substantially higher for wealthy public figures. Which is just another way of saying that even if only 2% of accusations are false, that doesn't mean there's only a 2% chance that this one is. ****, he wouldn't even be the only current Patriots WR to be hit with a false accusation.
Which is basically just all the more reason to withhold judgment of both the accuser and accused and see what facts come out.
I side on giving the accuser a lot of the benefit of the doubt in cases of sexual assault allegations. But if the accuser hasn't tried to file criminal charges for allegations where the statutes of limitations haven't run out while filing civil charges, it does raise a red flag for me. I doesn't mean she is lying, but I gotta wonder why she would be willing to go through a civil case and what should be a torturous deposition yet not be willing to go through a criminal trial where there are protections for the victim. As a plaintiff in civil trial, virtually nothing about her private life and past sexual history is off limits in a deposition and possibly in a trial.
I still won't dismiss her case as a money grab as of right now, but she will need to explain at some point (not necessarily to the public) why she would seek monetary justice rather than criminal justice if she never tried to file a criminal complaint.
She has a right to be heard and Brown has a right to defend himself. Unfortunately, this could come down to a he said/she said and we will never know for sure who is telling the truth.
This woman is full of sh*t if it wasn't obvious since last night.
She deserves jail time for this con. A precedent needs to be set to prevent groupies from pulling this crap again.
"In excess of $75000" is a legal standard. The award amount requested is likely much more.
The NFL will probably put Brown on the exempt list even if they don't believe his accuser. And it won't even be an "anti-Patriots" thing. Rather, Goodell will want to send a message to players that if they "game" the system, like Brown did with the Raiders, there will be consequences. Look for ownership to encourage people to come out of the woodwork when players -- particularly black ones that the media loves to bash -- step out of line with ownership. And that was after an actual arrest. That’s way beyond where Brown is right now.
It means shes suing for at least that much. That's just the legal threshold for where she has to file.So 75$k ? Not great not terrible.
Well, since you desire to continue this particular discussion, mysogyny didn't go away a thousand years ago, or even a hundred years ago, or even now. My point, which I obviously failed to make to you (we can obviously disagree on where the fault lies), is that NOW is a better time for human conditions than in the past, be it a decade, a century, or even a millennia ago. I totally reject the claims of the good old days; they really weren't.Your post indicates a significant lack of understanding of the issues of morality.
And "mysogyny" as an argument about the state of the world thousands of years ago?
Get out of here with that nonsense. It has, literally, no place in this discussion.
Watch for that account to be quickly banned, and you might want to save the videos for posterity, if that's your sort of inclination with regards to re-posting what might be evidence.
