I am tired of hearing AB, AB, AB, so let's switch it up and talk football. I have rewatched this play 20 times and always love Jules' discipline. Even though BB says that going to Josh would have been nice, Jules stuck with what was called. The result was the same...a TD on the next play, but it had to have taken a lot of discipline to hit White and not Josh. The risk is less with White with a shorter pass. If he misses Josh, he is in the doghouse. lol. I just love this play. The oline, Brady's block, everything is perfect. And because of it, Josh scores on the next play as BB says.

My only regret is that we used this early in the year like Zo says, but that means there are 10 more like it.

It's a setup. the next time they run it, the play will have a slightly different planned execution that will take advantage of people thinking it will be just like this play.

You know they are going to run that play again and Josh will be the first option.

Josh was open.

Next time Bill will have Edleman fake the pass to White, knowing that defenses will "not take the bait", so as they swarm the left side of the field, Edleman can instead pass to Gordon - who is now wide open after a defense thought they were genius for noticing the setup from before.

I thought the same thing. Therefore, that must mean you and I are both wrong. :D

This play has worked every time. Only dion “3.2 ypc” lewis fumbled one in an afcc that probably shoulda gone for a longer gain if anything.

Jules needs to improve his QB rating....118....sheesh.

Once it is on the tape most teams will be ready to defend both options.

I think it is more likely they will line up similarly, motion Edelman to the same spot but then throw to someone in the MOF as the other team focuses on the potential screen and Gordon deep route.

Josh was streaking and fast...Jules had him but went the safe route and still wound up being an amazing play.

I don't want to skewer him on this because it's early in his career but that being said....Wynn really did a terrible job of blocking leading that play down the field. He looked as bad on a WR screen in preseason too. He needs to work on doing a better job in space IMO.

Check out his non-block around the 2:20 mark of the video.

I’ll bet he was talking some trash in the locker room about quarterback ratings with the last quarterback to wear no 11.

The double passes are great and are a blast to watch. Really like them. But, probably not necessary when all the usual stuff is pretty much clicking without issue.

sure, but play action, that they used a lot on Sunday is just another form of mis direction..... keep the other team guessing

I'm sorry but this is a little bit of a pet peeve. Last year posters were slurping Brown but had no idea he was our 3rd best OL'm on the team & at times was lost in space. He's a mammoth so asking him to makes plays against guys 150lbs smaller than him isn't it. Again its the Big body in space that really does the trick on these plays.

Asking a 300+ OL'm to make a block at full speed on a DB whos purposely cuts to avoid contact is naive at best & thats being nice.

The appearance of the "herd" of OL'm is the big takeaway here. Nobody is running head on to a herd of elephants. If a guy who weighs 100lbs less makes a play at the very end not really a big deal.

Also Wynn was our best OL'm by far last game.

I suddenly do not like you.
