On to Miami!

Well the Super Bowl is in Miami so would be an early practice hopefully.

I hope the Miami owner took advantage and marketed PSL's and game tickets for the fans who wanted to see the Phins play in a SB at their home stadium. That one worked on the Jete fans a few years ago.

Cannon is at practice.

Brown is wearing #1

I was referring to the poster criticizing me for saying Sugarloaf mountain was not " northern Maine"

Ah, got it. I've always thought of Route 2/9 as the dividing line, but am aware of the hardcore contingent that use Baxter that way.
Then their are the transplanted Portland -ians who think of it like New Yorkers think of upstate - anything more than 5 miles outside the city limits.

Got 3 tickets, me, my dad and bro. Its on the Dolphins side where their is shade...row 4 section 144 near the 25.

Have a great time.

That is central Maine. Northern Maine is 4 hours further north.

I once played in a regional softball tourney in Brunswick ME and the ME representative had a longer ride than we did from metro Boston.

Looking at the Dolphins' personnel.... @BobDigital was right earlier in this thread....it's downright bad! Not as bad as I thought:

Here's their OL ranking (dead last as of July with Tunsil): PFF ranks the Miami Dolphins 2019 offensive line dead last

Their QB is Fitzy who hopefully will never complete his AFC East tour.

Skill players? Ballage/Drake are decent...but behind that OL...no chance. WR's? Davante Parker, Preston Williams, Jakeem Grant, and Albert Wilson.....doesn't inspire much fear although I hear that Parker had a good camp and impressed the new regime. Preston Williams showing promise...and I like Grant's game myself... Then there's Geisicki at TE who did nothing last year....hmmm...

On defense: I don't recognize any names other than Wilkins on the DL (high draft pick), Howard (their best CB), Rowe (their #2!), and Reshad Jones/Bobby McCain at safety. I think Minkah Fitzpatrick is supposed to play one position this year...but got burned in week 1 by a rookie....I think he was benched...not sure...could have just been a blow out benching.

The more I think about this game...the more I like the Pats' chances...even without AB.

FWIW, Harris and Jones were DNP at today's practice for Miami. Not boding well for them.

This thread could use a whole lot more Antonio Brown talk.

Excited to see more of Josh Gordon and Dorsett

I really hope he plays Sunday
brown or cannon? playing Brown would be a serious risk unless the league acts, as they say they will very soon.

I’ll go you one better. We were living on Long Island in New York in the early 90’s and my sister was doing her medical internship in Lubec, Maine... down east. We decided to see her, and she agreed to meet us halfway.

Halfway... was Kennebunk. o_O

Miami might be the worst team in the NFL. This could get ugly - 70-0
They really seem like the worst team since the 0-16 Browns. But they are a rival and we're bound to have a few bumps after a flawless week 1. Probably too conservative a prediction, but Patriots 30-16.

In my best Steve Saboll voice, "On any given Sunday"...

As bad as Miami seems to be and as good as the Pats are crap happens at "The Orange Bowl", "Joe Robbie Stadium", "Pro Player Park", "Pro Player Stadium", "Dolphins Stadium", "Dolphin Stadium", "Land Shark Stadium", "Sun Life Stadium" or "Hard Rock Stadium"..... the Pats will win, but it is never easy in South Fla....
