But with Weinstein and "Me Too" a lot of women continued to work with him after being assaulted.
With the women who were victimized by Weinstein and the trainer assaulted by Peyton, they merely continued to do their job precisely in their place of work. They didn't travel 1000 miles and invite themselves over to Weinstein's or Peyton's home for a good time.

I must've missed something, I've seen the stuff about the first part but not anything about a church service.

One of the incidents happened while they were supposedly watching a church service. Keyword there is watching, they weren't at a church service they were watching it.

That's another red flag for me on her complaint. Comes off as she's trying to be painted as a church going saint.

Can the Jets refund us DT?

AB seems to be put on the Commish exempt list.... probably inevitable. No way the league allows the Pats to have this kind of an offense with Edelman, AB, and Flash

How the **** does anyone manage to ejaculate while watching a church service is the question.

She didn’t know he was lol
Regardless of what was reported, we don’t know what actually happened other than someone has accused Brown of a crime.

You response in your original post didn’t address the posters points

Let it go.. if your so concerned about responding to the posters comments go ahead and do it.

You worry about you and I will worry about myself and most certainly can choose who and what I want to respond to.

Thanks for the concern though.

Please don't compare him to Weinstein. Weinstein is something much worse, much more heinous.

Women, especially actresses went out of their way to avoid him, even working with him. He had to continually look for new prey to rape.

??

I was asked why someone would continue to work with another after being assaulted.

Weinstein raped some women. But the vast majority were assaulted.

So I just talked with a female co-worker about this. She knows next to nothing about football and had no idea what I was talking about.

I started by saying I've seen enough crazy from Brown to believe the accusations, then proceeded to tell her the story, how she was his trainer, and then the three incidents she claims.

She instantly had a confused look on her face, said that didn't make any sense, and within 30 seconds was thinking they were probably sleeping together and now there's some hurt feelings.

On the surface this reads very much like a jilted ex lover who wants to scratch and claw his eyes out for some easy money, and is taking advantage of the negative publicity related his being released from the Raiders

I doubt we’ll even hear much more in terms of in depth details since this is a civil case

Her ultimate goal is probably to pressure him into a settlement to make this go away for some easy cash, maybe $100-250k which is enough to pay off student loans and put a sizeable down payment on a house. Not a bad payday for being dumped and having regrets for mistakes made in college.

It’s right out of the Extortion 101 book

Probably for money. To get paid by Brown. Why did all he women continue to work with Weinstein? Why did Peyton Manning's trainer continue to work with him after he sexually assaulted her?

That's my question. I don't understand it.

I hope he plays the whole year but I have a bad feeling about all this. My betting money is we cut him for either this reason or possibly he is freinds with Ray Lewis

There was also no way that Gordon would not be suspended this season. Until there was.

There could be any number of reasons, but the biggest one to my mind is money. He was rich, and she thought she had an opportunity.

I am only pointing out here that the rape was the third incident. I am not drawing conclusions. My post was strictly about the facts. "Why did she go back to him after he raped her" is quite different than "why did she go back to him after he groped her or sexually assaulted her or whatever." That's the only distinction I'm making.

But with Weinstein and "Me Too" a lot of women continued to work with him after being assaulted.

With Weinstein it’s different, because he could literally destroy careers if they didn’t acquiesce, or if they talked.

True with Peyton, not true with Weinstein.

Again, it's a backlash against millions upon millions of men getting away with transgressions - often brutal ones - against all oppressed classes, not just women.

That doesn't make it right and as I said, I also don't particularly like the direction things are going, but I fully understand why it's happening the way it is. People are fed up with constant unpunished violations of human rights over the course of history.
Guilty people going unpunished in the past doesn’t make an innocent man guilty in the present. It’s a horrific argument to say an innocent person today has to be punished in order to even score for other people doing things in the past.
Ironically the same people who support that innocent until proven guilty because history would flip out if you suspected an Arab of being a terrorist because of previous Arabs.

Precedents don't matter in the NFL - the Commissioner rules by fiat, arbitrarily and capriciously. And it is sanctioned by the contracts in place. Insane, but true.

That is twice today I've seen the word Fiat used in a sentence. The first time I pictured Goodell riding around in a Fiat wearing crown (the quote was something like monarchial fiat), now seeing it twice I had to look up the definition. I learned something today, Fiat is not some Italian word for a car.

Who knew???

Smells like a money grab but I think they cut bait.

I think he ends up on the Commissioners exempt list while they investigate. There is no rhyme or reason to what the NFL does or doesn’t do so who knows but that would be my guess.

No chance of a refund my friend. The commish is loyal to NYJ first. He don't care about NEP.
He only cares about their destruction.

I fully agree. As I said in the post you quoted, I don't like this direction any more than you do. I just understand why it's happening.

Agreed. I'm just giving examples of why some women continue to work with others after a sexual assault. if you're asking me to speculate, she did it because of his money. But this does apply to the Weinstein women who actually agreed to work with him again, or who were known to socialize with him in his house, after what he did. In other words, he could destroy careers, if they talked. But that doesn't mean you have to hang out with him.

So they're reacting irrationally and over-correcting. No one in the cult sheds a tear when it turns out a man goes away forever, or years, and or loses everything and is later exonerated -let's say by balant evidence or even DNA. What concerns me the most is those like you who know the salem witch mob is wrong and dangerous, but shrug your shoulders and say "well so many bad people have gotten away with bad things" so I'm just gonna turn my head while the lynch mob and media whips up a frenzy and pushes society further and further away from what took so long to build.

Listen I get it, a lot of horrible monsters have gotten away with crimes against victims. That said you can't just accuse people of something bad and believe the accuser with a fair trial/hearing of evidence. The reasons are obvious. For some reason it has become socially alienating if you uphold this position for ALL people - regardless of race and gender (remember that???). Dare speak up against the mob and suffer the consequences. Who's the bully?

I am reserving judgement until all the facts are out there.

However, the civil complaint does allege that she went back to Brown's house the very next day after the alleged rape occurred.

"61. The next day, Ms. Taylor had to return to Brown's home to retrieve personal belongings before flying back to Memphis."

Goes back to her "rapist's" house for her things, doesn't go to the police, instead 16 months later files a lawsuit for money when her "rapist" is one of the most talked about and vilified men in American sports.

This really should be a red flag for people.
