Huge surprise that the NFL is acting very differently with the AB/Pstriots situation than they did with the Tyreek/Chiefs situation.

Remember when everyone was clamouring for some type of response from the NFl - anything at all, a comment on what they were planning on doing etc.

They basically ignored it, then when a lot of the initial fuss had died down they basically stated "nothing to see here, folks" - and that, was that.

Now look at the AB situation - the NFL have released an official statement within HOURS of the story breaking, followed by a series of leaks though various outlets (the threat to put AB on the exempt list).

It's the exact same hype fiasco we had to deal with , with both 'Spygate' and 'Deflategate'.

The NFL sit back and pretend to be neutral, all the while stoking the flames of controversy by constantly leaking info. Then they'll march in and lay down an unprecedented and harsh penalty - much to the joy of the fans of the other 31 teams.
Ive read enough that I can tell you that because one is a civil lawsuit and the other was a criminal one, they are handled differently

In criminal, they needed to let the official investigation go ahead first.

The media coverage of AB compared to Tyreke is interesting. ESPN is going all in.

This is pretty simple to fix:

Charged = suspended
Not charged = not suspended

NFL hasn’t released a statement.
This.

Either people are getting misinformation, or their hair is so on fire that they cant think straight and make stuff up/think they heard something.

If true they cannot cut him fast enough for my liking. My biggest question is why would you continue to be his trainer for a year after the first assault? I'm not saying this means she is lying but why would you stay on? Maybe she has kids and needed the money that bad......I have no idea but that is confusing.

The Kansas City Child-Abusers really shouldn't be throwing stones and Hunt minus the video would still be there too.

We all know women who have been raped. We might not know they've been raped, but we all know women who have had that horrific experience. I happen to know of one person in my life who was raped. And she never ever ever wants to be in that man's presence again. Not within a thousand yards of him. So I do not understand either how you can be raped and keep going back to that same person. If you're in some weird dependent relationship maybe, but if you have freedom of movement and such...why would you go back to the person who committed a horrible crime against you, especially knowing that it could happen again? And allegedly there were THREE instances of this; after TWO of them, you STILL go back? I cannot even comprehend it.

issue is that exempt list is basically being suspended as well. it's the same just different name. if put on the exempt list you can assume he is done for the year even if innocent.

Brown will be done for the year. If herr sh*tdell is seriously considering it, it will happen.

Report: NFL to “give serious consideration” to putting Antonio Brown on exempt list

Not sure how sourced Mark Maske of the Washington Post is though. Could be clickbaiting
oF COURSE THEY WANT TO PUT HIM ON THE EXEMPT LIST. They are pissed that the Pats signed him in the first place. Now they can stop him from playing for them. That is exactly what all of this is about. The child abuser is acceptable. Babies have no rights.

We shouldn’t assume anything you listed actually happened in my opinion

Actually it wasn’t assumed. It was reported by Schefter last night. Which was in the civil case documents.

This is what happens when you have a bad contract that gives almost total control to the commissioner, and he is an idiot.

Unless the rules have changed, I read that the player agrees to be put on the exempt list in exchange for being paid in full while he waits for a legal case to be decided.

Can't he just refuse? It was from a 2014 story:

While the NFL's use of this list is somewhat new, with troubled players now landing there after agreeing to leave their teams indefinitely in exchange for being paid in full, the list itself is not new at all.

well here in batshit liberal MA we "believe her" right? What a mess. Timing, civil lawsuit only ($$$$$) and repeat visits/relationship make me entirely question the accusations and I would let him proceed to practice and play while the legal process occurs..............But in today's salem witch society where men are now evil and must prove innocence and with Bob Kraft recent situation I wouldn't be surprised to see him dropped either. Pathetic.

It’s the owners not the commissioner.

What would be the correct time? There really aren’t that many false rape charges compared to real ones. We’ll see how this unfolds.

And we know exactly how many "false rape accusations" there are vs real ones? How is that we know? Sounds like the "# of non reported rapes" nonsense. How do we know how many rapes aren't reported if they aren't reported? Or the fabricated "1 in 4 women will be sexually assualted" lie.........Made up by radicals for political agendas. You people are quite dangerous the way you think. Hundreds of years of due process tossed out the windows to appease radical feminists.

Next time, please lets find a girl who files charges against Mahomes and then put him on the exempt list lol

Right?! What's to stop an enterprising fan of a rival team from getting someone to concoct some horrible story to take an opposing star off the field.

If the standard is guilty, until proven innocent, you end up with lawlessness - which is why we have hundreds of years of common law practices and standards instead. Oh, but the NFL is too smart to use such a system - instead, they rule by an ugly combination of mob rule and monarchical fiat.

And even amongst our own Patriots' fanbase, we have a healthy representation of the mob mentality. I have no faith in humanity and civilization when I see this kind of behavior.

Also, so everyone is aware and take from it what you will, NFL network has a short update report. No breathless opining, no reporters pretending they're lawyers, no wild speculation about suspensions.

At least not yet.
..of course, until Max and Stephen A. hole are on "First (HOT) Take".

They think he should be suspended prior to these allegations.
Or at least be Dumass's exempt list.

I'm shocked, shocked, I tell you.

I told you all the exempt list was on the table. 99% of the time when something is left deliberately vague, it’s simply to have at your disposal based on the situation
