Monday Night Double Header Thread: Texans vs Saints and Donkeys vs Raidahs

Damn Drew Brees hasn’t skipped a beat either at 40. His throws are like death by a thousand cuts.

They go on and on about his completion %. It’s so boosted by the handoff passes you described

Anyone who says Brees is even in P. Manning’s class is smoking something toxic. Manning had his issues in the postseason, but he was much better than Brees. My favorite percentage to cite is 58%, which is his career winning percentage.

That’s funny how they say he’s the GOAT when he’s never even won an MVP or ever been considered the consensus best QB in football, over like a 20 year period. Lol.

I’d strongly disagree. Brees has been a lot more reliable. And Peyton stole Brees’ MVP. Almost everybody thought he should have won it in 09.

I know a lot of people on here like Brees, but I love seeing him so bad. I live around a bunch of Saints fans who think he’s the GOAT and talk **** about Brady
My parents are saints fans and they gave me so much hell in 2009 because the saints destroyed us on mnf and they won the super bowl. Won 3 titles since then and now they don’t talk much about football.

I don't watch Brees a lot. But possible explanations include not throwing the ball away and taking the sack, Playing less safe and throwing balls that have the possibility of being underthrown? I mean I don't know if that's it. Just guessing.

Did Hopkins get into Chung’s stash?

I agree Brees should have won it in ‘09, but my broader point is that it’s hard to be the greatest of all-time when there’s no reasonable argument that you’re even the best of your own time. Most likely the all-decade QBs for the 2010s will be Brady-Rodgers and were Brady-Manning for the 2000s. So not even a second team nod, but somehow the greatest ever?

No question the Texans gave up a lot of picks, but they do have a number of weapons on O. Will it be enough to make noise in the AFC ? Time will tell. But a group that includes Watson, Hopkins, Stills, Fuller, Duke J, Hyde, Tunsil...

From Saints forum

Really thought they'd come out and win like Patriots did vs Steelers

Narrator: they did not

ESPN has to change that down marker. How did somebody approve a yellow marker not knowing it’s the same color as the penalty marker?

Remember when saints fans refused to watch the super bowl and threw a boycott party? I’m pretty sure we would have beaten them too.

I like both the Saints and the Texans, don't really cares who wins

This game is becoming a flag fest ! I hate that .

At least Brees doesn't sexually assault women and has his family gang up on said woman and force her into unemployment.

Yeah the Saints are sure coming out “scorched earth 19-0!” Like a ton of their fans said

Speaks volumes to P. Manning’s legacy given the fact that he threw the ball right to a saints defender who ran it back and sealed the game. Defense wasn’t even the saints strength in 2009.

Amazing play by Hyde to get some yards that looked like a loss/zero gain.

I was at that game, luckily we hit Bourbon St around noon, so I was completely painless by the time kickoff rolled around.

Bad mistake, stay in bounds.
