Marcus Cannon Injury Watch

Que Dr. Chang for a diagnosis.

It looked like he broke his forearm - his hand went totally limp when he was hit. Good thing we don't face a decent team until the winter; 6-7 weeks for a break.

Dr Chao apparently no longer gives away his injury video analysis for free. Boooo

I wonder if NE really reported him as questionable to return or of if someone screwed up. Shoulder injury and bleeding doesn’t seem to equate to “questionable to return”.
the blood could just have been his elbow getting opened up on the turf. Very common and minor injury.. The broadcast did not state where the blood was coming from.

that being said, I was surprised the said shoulder since I though his arm was broken the way he was holding it.

Yep hopefully that is not the case but I think something broke

Thats what i think by the way he was holding his arm, and the extreme pain he was in.

The broadcast had it wrong. His arm is busted. His hand was completely limp. This is not a shoulder issue and the reported blood was not relevant to the injury that knocked him out.
I am a doctor and I also play one on TV.

I don’t think they would’ve reported Cannon as bleeding if he had simply gotten turf-rash. That’d be more of a scrape and less actual bleeding .

Might’ve opened his arm up on the initial hit to the forearm.

The broadcast doesn’t determine the type of injury; the team does, and they communicate that to the broadcast.

So if anyone had it wrong, it was the team, not the broadcast.

I saw the blood. Looked like turf rash to me. No sling so thinking broken or sprained wrist.

On the plus side, Wynn had a great game since i don't recall his name being called once

:)

one hurry and one penalty

Thuney, and they kicked Elemanfellow to LG.

Sounds like a laurel and hardy skit... who's that Eleman Fellow....who? Do you mean Edelman...and on and on...sorry it's late and I'm tired

arm is in a sling

Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine or Dr. Howard????

Just hope it is an injury that he can return from. Our 1st 8 weeks are not too tough so we soldier on until he returns. Doubt it is as minor as a sprained wrist based on his pain level. Also a sling for a wrist problem - I don't think so.

I don’t know, but I broke my shoulder a couple of years ago and my arm and fingers weren’t only numb as hell, but the arm itself kind of dangled since it no longer had support from where the shoulder connects (ball and socket).

It could be an arm, a shoulder, or both. I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough, but it doesn’t look good at the moment.
