I'm not offended by what he said...just calling a spade a spade. And you have nothing to apologize for, guessing you didn't delete my post.

But I am annoyed that my post was deleted that is BS I didn't do anything that would warrant that.

They've been ramping up the censorship around here. It's killing the place, but at least that death will be rated "G".

It's crazy how many on Chief's Planet wish injury on Patriots players. Is that a common thing amongst NFL fanbases, or just a few bad apples?

I actually laughed out loud when I read Robert Weathers post this on Chief's Planet, which was met with f-bombs and people telling him to step in front of a train.

That place is a cesspool. Some of the non-football things posted on that forum are disturbing.

Tom Curran: Patriots signing of Brown means they’re now a “Just win, baby” team
Brown a "Just win, baby' move for Pats

When did Curran come such a whiner?

Of F**cking course Pats are WIN NOW. Brady is 42 and there is a chance he could be gone next year and Belichick has been on record saying he doesn't want to be Marv Levy coaching in his 70s

Also for F**K SAKE it's not like the pass offense couldn't use Brown. All summer it was

"HOW ARE THEY GONNA REPLACE GRONK"

"RECEIVING CORP IS ALL QUESTIONS AFTER EDELMAN"

the last couple years Curran has turned from a good analyst to a whiny doom and gloomer over every move.

Fans and media across the country, upon hearing that Brown was getting cut:

"Don't be surprised if he ends up with the Patriots. Going after a player like this is what the Patriots do. We've seen this move a bunch of times."

Fans and media across the country, upon hearing that Brown was signing with the Patriots:

"This is ridiculous. Brown to the Patriots? It's got to be rigged, because there's no other way this would ever happen!"

Preach it bro. I thought that I was the only one becoming irritated by Curran's BS.

The only good I see here is that he didn't go to the Eagles or Chiefs. I don't see how he lasts the season with his history of skipping meetings and practices when playing for the Steelers and Raiders. I think the chances are good that he's going to flame out before Gordon does. Maybe he turns it around and becomes a model citizen? I simply don't believe that he has it in him to do this.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I don't intrinsically hate the signing, but I hate guaranteeing him $9M. He's talented enough that he's worth taking a low-risk shot at, but guaranteeing that kind of money is not low risk.

Wonder what Curran is thinking about his 10-6 prediction and losing in the AFCCG

Die a hero or live long enough to become a villain....... nahhhhhh

9million signing bonus? That's more than Julian's signing bonus.

I dunno. All he ever cares about is "me me me". Isn't this counter-intuitive to the "Patriots Way" ?

This is what you're paying for $9m. Please don't compare him to Edelman in terms of production and talent. We're basically getting him at half price.

This is a BB deal. We can be at least reasonably sure that there are behavior clauses to serve as protections that could void the guarantees.

Have yall thought of nicknames to this group already?

Given the volatile nature I want to call them:

The Explosion Unit
You must be one of the guys with a boner.

Only for signing bonuses. His base salary isn't guaranteed I think.

I believe if the Patriots revoke his contract, then Raiders guaranteed money holds again so Pats will be off the hook for the guranteed. If they do pay, then AB can just chase the Raiders for the difference.

Yeah, I sure hope so and that seems like a reasonable assumption. Basically, as long as they can credibly threaten to cut his ass if he keeps being a jackass, I'm excited by the signing purely as a high-reward, low-risk type deal.

Assuming a high return on their potential

  • Gordon on the outside
  • Thomas/Dorsett on the outside
  • Edelman on the inside
  • Brown on the inside
  • White in the backfield
