Antonio Brown

Depending on the contract I'm okay with a 1 year deal.

We potentially have 4 number 1 WRs hahaha

I find those conspiracy theories pretty silly. No one could have predicted if the Raiders would actually release him over some of the **** he did. And all of it happened less than 24h before W1 starts in proper.

But of course because it involves the Pats..

It's not really a conspiracy that involves us if Brown and his agent cooked this up. Any one can throw a hissy fit and get themselves released to sign with another team. If he wanted to come to NE all along, there's nothing wrong NE did.

There was contact in May, alright. By then ABs (was not crazy) wanted money or the Steelers werent willing to give him to the Pats. Still, a offer was made.

He goes to the Raiders, realizes that they were disfunctional as ****, yadda yadda yadda, plots to get out.

As soon as he's released, BB calls Rosenhaus and says "offer still on the table". Done deal.

Now this is an honest and actually probable scenario. Will it matter for other franchises? No.
Will it matter for the NFL? ....

I think it has sunk in I can't feel my arm and legs...I'm numb.

For all we heard through the grapevine the team was fine with taking on the traded contract but the Steelers didn't want to send him directly to their direct opponents unless BB would overpay in terms of picks.

Either way.. it is what it is now. I won't complain and actually enjoy how thoroughly in the heads of people all over the league BB is.

I am sure there will be plenty of conspiracy theories that this is Belichick cheating and telling Brown to shoot his way out of town so he can sign with the Patriots. The Pats only guaranteed $9 million where the Raiders were guaranteeing far, far more. I can't see Brown purposely giving up all that money.

Not a fan of this...hope I'm wrong... but if he slipped in a cryo chamber and broke his **** before next week I wouldn't be upset.

Rosenhaus probably had a conversation with AB after everything he pulled that his only chance at this point is to sign with the patriots have a big year, win the superbowl and cash in next year.

Man, this is conflicting for me.

I love what this means for our offense. But I hate the thought that we’re helping Antonio Brown get his way. This man has been a horrible petulant child. Doesn’t sit well with me.

I’ll take that over a guy who beat women with or kids

All your blood flowed away from your arms and legs towards another limb, presumably?

On the Pats or not, I can’t stand Antonio Brown.

I agree. The guy is a nutcase and will most likely be a one and done guy but hopefully will help win a Super Bowl for the Pats.

Why would Rosenhaus willingly give up that much money ? Or Brown for this matter.

I understand the human brain loving to create connections out of individual data points but there are way too many random variables here to say that this was a plan. I mean do you think he actually cryo-burned his feet on purpose ? This **** hurts.

But in the end it doesnt matter at this point really. He is here now so lets enjoy what might be the most stacked team BB and Brady ever had on both sides of the ball.

His behavior was weird, but all he did was skip some practices, get into an argument with his GM, and some other petulant behavior. I think it looks obvious now he was unhappy with the Raiders (a very poorly run team) and wanted out. Not professional, but nothing to get worked up about either.

just thinking about the sets Mcdaniels can run....imagine Antonio Brown on one side, Josh gordon on the other, Edelman in the slot and both Michel/White in the backfield. what do teams do?
